You know I once saw a Yor ship named "Die Humans". What makes it even funnier is the fact that I was allied with them at the time.

I find it funny when I roll into a star system with Overlords, Avatars, and Battletransports only to find that the 25+ PQ system is only defended by 5 or 6 star fighters, a few defenders, and maybe the odd battle-axe. I guess what I am seeing is a very meek attempt to fortify their planets with what they have.
Gman, thats the exact music I use. I threw in the turk theme too.
Or when you build your first terror star and it slowly creeps towards a planet.........
Habadacus definitely has me beat on the space-themed songs. But thanks for giving me all those good ones, I gotta get Star Wars Imperial March.
Question for all the GavCiv fans, whats your perfect playlist? I, myself, like to go with a space theme; I have: 2001: A Space Oddessy Godsmack, Moonbabies David Bowie, Ground control to Major Tom Billy Thorpe, Children of the Sun but of course thats not enough to not get sickeningly repetitive. So I usually throw in some Metallica, Disturbed, or what ever new stuff I find (Sugercult, Bowling For Soup, Theory Of A Deadman, Queens Of The Stone Age, etc.).
By the way, in case I have to play another whole game to find out, what does happen when you transcend. The whole "God Mode" thing they talked about really got my hopes up.
I'm really thinking its because I cranked my tech money down to fund other things.
No, lol, I still have to research Nano Rifts, which the clock on it currently says 1000 months because I took all my research spending away. For those interested in the first 4 months of my war a little over 250 billion citizens died. I captured or demolished 50% of the altarian's star systems (who by the way had about 3 times as many stars as I did). The Yor were drowning but then I built them 7 Excaliber-class starships, now they are beginng to hold their own, however I doubt they will be a
I shall try, but of course the situation is more complex. Since I poured money into research I lived off of money that I got by selling technology and star systems to rich races. But the Torians, Drengin, and Arceans are all wiped out. The Yor are my allies, but they're at war with the Altarians. I have just a few planets, but I use my terror stars and excalibers to full advantage. However, me senate has drawen me into this war before and I believe they will do it again. I need the money i
I researched the "final frontier". My robot then told me that my people were "being prepared". So I've waited a little more than 20 turns, yet nothing has happened. Could it be that I turned my research spending all the way down? Do I need to do something else?
I researched everything in the tech tree and all I can do is click "next" but since I haven't technically chosen anything to research the window just stays up.
I, after hundreds and hundreds of turns, reached the end of the tech tree and was about to "transcend humanity". I had reached the Final Frontier and was waiting how ever many turns you have to wait for your citizens to be transformed when I got the very last remaining tech. So, the window opened for me to pick something new to research all I could do was click "next" however this did nothing. AHHHHHHHH!!!!! I was hoping I was going to be able to rip the Alterians faces apart with a click of
And I completely forgot. This is also the first computer game I have played THAT HAS NOT CRASHED. I now think of the good people at Strategy First the same way the Torians think of me diplomatically, your practically gods.
I've been lurking around here for awhile now, since about a month before the game came out. All of you guys got me so siked about the game that I ran out and reserved it. So i got it, and i meant to post about my feelings earlier, but of course I've been addicted to the game. This is definitely the best turn-based strategy game I have ever played. One thing I especially adore is that when you go to war, the other side makes attempts to attack you. And when you ask one of your allies
