Mine won't even download updates, even small ones (the 730kb update for theme manager). Even when I opened impulse it would get stuck downloading this neverending update, I could leave it running for hours and it would never finish, and thus couldn't access any of the preferences. Tried uninstalling the new beta and downloaded the setup from the site hoping it would be the previous version, and much to my chagrin it was still the new version. Can

What really sux is that it hasn't happened again since I made my post. I had happened for DAYS beforehand. Go figure! [e digicons];P[/e]
Nice link, Mirsguy... Any idea what that link is supposed to show? 64bit Vista and ObjectDock do NOT play well together. There is supposed to be an update this month ... that's sometime in the next 13 days. Of course, I'll believe it when I see it.
That's not an option as the current version on Impulse is even more broken that the one currently installed.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64bit. I also have ObjectDock Plus installed. It is v1.90.033 according to Impulse, or v1.90a (Build 538u) according to "About ObjectDock". At every boot, my desktop loads normally. My various docks appear. Then I get an error telling me that Objectdock.exe has stopped working. I close the error message and my docks all work fine (with the exception of my taskbar dock being empty). When this occurs I get the following in my event log:</
Howdy! It's been a week since the last post in this thread. Just wondering if there is an update for this issue?
I did cut a support ticket with Stardock and they say that ObjectDock CANNOT launch ANY 64 bit programs. Any program started by a dock will be running in 32bit mode. I'm not sure if I believe them, but I can't see any way to verify this, and I do know that programs started from the docks don't always run the same as from my Start menu. I do have PuTTY installed, but sometimes I'm at a command prompt and just need to test something quickly. If I could set PuTTY to be the
I just noticed something... When I start up Impulse, go to the Community tab, and click Forums, there is no Impulse forum. If I use my web browser to go to the forums, I see the Impulse group under Stardock Support. Seems kind of silly to not have an Impulse forum that can be accessed from Impulse! [e digicons]:O[/e]
I did contact support. Their answer was simply "Use what's available online". Anyhow, I fixed my problem and I'm back to running 1.90a build 538u. All my docks are back and functioning normally, except the system tray, on my Vista 64bit system.
Could someone who still has 1.90i[b].020 installed do an archive of the program and make the files available to me? I don't think the archive contains any registration information (and correct me if I'm wrong).
Are you telling everyone here there is no version of Object Dock available to you at all?
I can download and install one of the other versions, but they don't work correctly on 64bit Vista. Anyhow, I don't want to turn this into an argument, I just want to get back to the same setup that I had prior to troubleshooting the missing tray.
What are you on about? Just rightclick the app and choose archive, works just fine on installed software...
So, how does that let me move backups of those programs to a CD or file server? Also, it's not exactly an intuitive way to archive software. I only found it about an hour ago. Doesn't help me now.
And you have all the software included in your subscription... Running a beta may result in unwanted effects, it's not what you paid for. You paid for
Well, now that I've followed the Support advise in this thread, my ObjectDock Plus is completely hosed. Before I did any of this I simply had no SysTray. WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE PREVIOUSLY OFFERED VERSIONS OF OBJECTDOCK PLUS. THESE VERSIONS ARE NO LONGER OFFERED VIA IMPULSE OR STARDOCK CENTRAL. I HAVE A PAID SUBSCRIPTION AND HAVE HAD THESE VERSIONS INSTALLED PREVIOUSLY. STARDOCK SOFTWARE DOES NOT PERMIT
Right now, without prerelease software selected, Impulse is showing ObjectDock Plus v1.90.33, updated October 14, 2008. If I choose to show prerelease software, the ObjectDock version does not change. In Stardock Central, without prerelease software shown, ObjectDock Plus is at version 1.90.026, updated April 25, 2007. If I show prerelease software, the version offered is 1.90i[b].020 (but it can't be found to be installed).
I don't see an ObjectDock log file. All I can find is the INSTALL.LOG from when the program was first installed. Also, Stardock Central still cannot find the file to download.
I'm trying to fix the "no systray icons" issue on my Vista 64bit machine. For some reason, when I choose to install ObjectDock Plus from Stardock Central, it reports that the file is not available. Logs look like this: -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Name: Stardock Central Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\SDCentral Version: 2.54.524, buil
I'm not at the previous beta because SC can't find it to download it. I click the Install button in SC and after a few seconds I get an error saying that the download is not available. [e digicons]:'([/e]
Oooops... Vista Home Premium 64bit with SP1 applied. Guess I'll open a ticket then.
LOL! I just tried to install 537 in SC and it's not available. (Logs are in the fix thread mentioned above) Guess I'll just need to try again later.
OK... I'm trying to move back to build 537. I've uninstalled, rebooted and am now in SC. I have selected v1.90i[b].020 and tried to install. I recieve an error. The log contains: -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Name: Stardock Central Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\SDCentral Version: 2.54.524, build: 167</spa
Anyone? Any ideas? I just want to know if this is a bug or if my system is acting stupid. Thx!
I open Impulse. Next, I click Community. Then I click the "Forums" link at the top of the page... That's as far as I can go. No ObjectDock forum that I can see.
I will try again, but why do I need to use SC to get 537? Why can't it be available via Impulse as well? Impulse may be prettier, and have much better functionality, it ain't worth crap if Stardock keeps putting stuff in SC and not in Impulse.
