I am trying to get TELNET.EXE to work on my 64 bit Vista system. Right now, if I use CTRL-R and run cmd.exe I get a command prompt and this prompt can find and run TELNET.EXE. I also have a shortcut to CMD.EXE on an object dock. When I start the command prompt from the dock, TELNET.EXE will not run (and can't even be seen during DIR commands). I noticed that the environment variables between the two command prompts are not the same. These are different: <p style="PADDING-

I currently have ObjectDock v1.91k[a].025 installed on my PC. The PC is running 64bit Windows Vista Home Premium. Video card is an ATI 4850 video card with the latest drivers. Sometime in the last day or two, the OD system tray has stopped showing icons on my screen. I still see the background of the tray, but it's not very wide, since there are no icons in it. What can be done to bring the icons back?

I use Google Apps to host the email for my domain. It works great, but I cannot find a Vista gadget or DesktopX object that can check email for my domain. Does anyone know of a decent gadget/object that will do this? If not, how about a SystemTray app? Thx!

I have Windows Vista x64 Home Premium installed on my PC. I recently purchased and installed ObjectDock. I have several folders set up containing shortcuts to program that I use. Many will not start because "The specified path does not exist". If I click the folder and choose "Folder: xxxx" the folder opens normally and I can run the software from the shortcuts. Any idea why I'm having this issue with ObjectDock? Details: ObjectDock Plus v1.91k[a].025 Error messag
I think it does the first one(move the file into a open folder) in the same way as windows taskbar(by dragging and hovering over that folder taskbar for some time) and doesnt do the second one(show windows side-by-side).
Do you have your docks locked? I find that dragging, even into the recycle bin, does not work with locked docks.
I'll admit that my enthusiasm for Vista keeps declining as I discover more and more stupidity in how it was put together. I don't think most people realize just how badly designed the UAC is. I have read lots of comments from (non developers) people who say that deveopers just need to write their software "right". But what they don't realize is what a pain in the butt it is to write it "right" and that it's not even clear what "right" is and in many cases, it requires an exp
Chaos? A little delay is Chaos? I must be using a different tape measure... What would you tell someone who's subscription expired well AFTER the "next month" date, but well BEFORE the DesktopX update was actually delivered?

FYI... Quicken Cash Manager 2008 (Cdn version) botches up a few items for me. My Dock is totally unresponsive while QCM2K8 is running. Also my StrokeIt (a gesturing program) is also rendered useless. I don't expect Stardock to resolve this issue, but they should probably make some kind of contact with the folks at Intuit to see if the problem could be resolved. This is definately an issue with Quicken - and I'll be glad to switch to something else if I can fin

Two quick questions... I recently recieved a discount coupon from Stardock through my email. Can it only be used once, or can I purchase ObjectDock AND Object Desktop and apply the coupon to both? [edit: The coupon can be applied to multiple items that are all purchased at the same time.] Also, does Stardock send you a warning email letting you know that your one year subscription will be ending soon? Thx!

How to catch a bear... You walk out into the woods where you know that there will be hungry bears about. Dig a large hole and fill it with ashes. Once you have the hole full of ashes, surround it with peas. When a bear comes around to take a pea, kick him in the ash hole.

Unfortunately, I need to use the "Safely Remove" icon. If I copy files to an SD card and don't shut it down properly, my MP3 player won't see the last group of files that I moved to the card. This doesn't happen all the time, so I don't know if it's related to the Recycle bin being on one of my docks. Currently fighting with my hardware so I'll have to put off troubleshooting this further.
