Possibly referring to the fact everyone has a few games on their Steam account they haven't played much if at all so there's little incentive to keep buying new ones.

People not buying anything, even at great discounts, because they already have a huge library full of unplayed games bought in previous sales.
Ah, yeah, that's me.

The last time I tried to play a complete game was when there were only two DLCs out (one being the map pack from Fallen Enchantress). Anyway, the game seems much improved. If nothing else, I'm glad to see the skill trees streamlined a bit. I won't try to claim it's perfect, but it really has come a long way since launch.
Do you think the backlog phenomenon will eventually cause Steam to change their business model? E.g. transition to subscription based.
Could you elaborate on this? I don't know what "backlog phenomenon" means in this context.

I've put a limit on the number of things I'll buy during holidays, rather than amount of money. In this case, I got Galactic Civilizations III (20% discount), Saint's Row IV (75% discount, all dlc), and the Battlegrounds DLC for Legendary Heroes, which of course was not on sale at all.

He's so wrong too. I've participated in several of Stardock's early release betas and the game I downloaded at first was very much not feature complete. I recall that the race-specific tech trees in Twilight of the Arnor were introduced after testing started, and they were not all introduced at once.

I also got ripped off because I paid for the "Premium Spouse DLC" but they didn't tell me there was an on-going subscription cost of clothing and shoes that can't be cancelled! I'm also being forced into "DLC: Children"! HEEELLPP!!!!
This is what happens when you view partners as commodities.

From the techtree:
- Inherent Magic Allows us to make our peple immensely powerful The Altarian race is the only race that has dark energy part of their inherent nature. While some races, such as the Drath have some concept of it, only the Altarians are inately...magical (as some humans might describe it).||This extra form of energy i
I like the new look, the previous Alterians always struck me as a little too human. I know it's explained in the lore why this is but still... I must say, she does remind of the Asari in the Mass Effect series.
Oh, don't worry. This isn't a revision, Altarians still look like humans. This look is just for one group. :D
Quoting Phaedyme, reply 135 Reading the first few pages might answer the whole "blue" question, being as it was rather extensively discussed. You mean Syreens or hypothermia?
I have no idea what you're talking about. I mean people who have blue skin in the real world, either from a genetic abnormality or from argyria due to the consumption of colloidal silver.
