Keep on trying, Smeagol. :) I find that stronger minors with more systems make for weaker majors. Try taking the minors systems from them before taking on the majors. On rarer habitability maps, it really makes a difference. In addition, seems like the the tech-sell nerf have been relaxed for the Alexians in 1.11. I have been able to sell the Alexians tech for big bucks in my current game. However, from this single experience, it seems that they only buy in cash if they have >1
The scores are divided into monthly blocks backwards from the latest game played. The metaverse score places your total score in the numerator and the square root of the total games played in the denominator for each monthly block. Each block beyond the current month has a decay factor built in at 5% per month for metaverse score and 10% per month for personal profile (click on name) score. The blocks are then added to derive the listed scores. If I got that correct, kudos to Ray who has

My opinion is that the alignment bonus and the victory condition scoring are buggy. I'm with Maxtipherous in not believing that the summary screens have anything to do with scoring in its current iteration.
the big primary issue of the AI's absolute helplessness against a cultural assault.
As I've noted in my still incomplete Galciv blog, the three areas where humans routinely give the AIs the runaround are diplomacy, starbases and tactical combat. These three areas need some more work to give the AI more of a chance against experienced players. I'm hoping we will see some solid AI improvements in the Nov patch.

I've missed the 1st three but for 4-7, out of 10, I will score them: 1. Sgt - (9/10) 2. Delta Force - (7/10) 3. Dragon - (3/10) 4. Gold Star - (2/10) Delta Force lost points because not everyone is familiar with this US special force and it's from one country. Sgt stripes is an internationally recognisable military rank and it could represent a coalition of special forces from around the world (Aussie, US & Israeli at the moment).

I personally do not like the universalist party as the bonuses are small (which does not help much in the critical early game where base numbers are small - the game rounds down). Luck is also an undeveloped trait which is currently not very useful. I strongly recommend Populists. The diplomacy and morale bonuses are very useful. You are right that a lower population has a detrimental effect on your influence and thus the AIs influence can overshadow even your occupied sectors.
