In earlier game versions it seemed that the AI always picked war party. Is it corrected I don´t spend money on spying any more....

Hi, Wraith10 I suggest you get yourself smart exception it gives the progrmmers the necessary information to correct these bugs. rcorporon: How do you noticed that smartexception "hangs"? I suggest strongly that you post your problems at the thread at the top of this board. You will notice that Cari and other programmers pass by regulary... (When I posted a bug Stardock even wrote an E_MAil kindly requesting the exception log, I wish all the other companies are as dedicated
:) I think I has been suggested before but I would like to see: Improvements on the map: -large asteroid fields: Small ships can paas through but large ships get damaged or destroyed - Black holes: impassable sectors if you haven´t researched for example antigravity or they could work like random chance of destruction for a passing vessel. - Intergalactic gas cloud: ships can hide within => very limited sensor range -Ability to plant mine fields<b
One simple thing to check: Look at your Option Screen if sound and music is turned on.... (Perhaps it helps)
One question: Anybody knows what else will be included in the expansion pack in the near future?
:notsure: Cheese or not. IMHO the one way to trade is at the moment. Look for the nearest star system and build countless starbases with trade upgrades... Bonuses for distance are not relevevant because it seems to me that trade boni stack without a cap. Besides it is much easier to defend only one trading partner. Sideeffekt you can build up a minor superpower that way.... ;)
Spacemonsters, Spacemonsters, Spacemonters ;) More random events please?
Some examples of a natural disaters would be:1. Swarms of space monsters (that eventually go away so that you can rebuild)2. Super novas3. Time/space anomolies4. Solar flares5. Black holes6. Gravity wells7. Galaxy collisions
Space monsters / pirates and other big impact disasters are in the game. __Unfortunatly Stardock nerfed them quite a bit /Timefram and depending on the difficulty setting because many people complained that the random events ruined there games. <b
;) Ellenstar you drive hard deals, you are the born salesman.... I hope I will never have to do buisness with you in real live ;) ;) ;) ;) I play medium size maps, I never get more than 1000-1500bc income from trade. I think 80000 is pretty impressive
- the terror star movement bug is still in... - combine a starfighter with a constructor or any other ships and the first AI ship attacking (up to frigates in my game) blow themselves up and destroy a the same time only the starfighter - In a game I can´t send ships to two of my systems because the computer asks me if I want to attack the Yor trade vessel and start a war?????
Some small improvements: - teach the AI to defend Starbases on resources => asign some defending ships - improve the election system: make it less predictable to win the elections please - more and different spacemonsters ;) ;) ;) - Hot seat option for more than one player..... -Cultural takeover:It "should" provoke a civilwar (treat it as an invasion) - A scenario editor where you can time events - More options to automate shi
Somebody else noticed that the Yor go now for the PQ14 planets to colonize :)
The Alien Intelligence Community was in an uproar today when the non-profit galactic corporation (NPGC) found that Humans were regularly cheating while playing Galactic Civilization.Emperor X-1 from the Yor Empire had this to say:"It was very odd indeed that no matter how hard we tried our Overlords were not able to penetrate the human Corvettes. Well...we later found out that the humans stacked 99 Corvettes and we were unable to get through.""Yes! We Love War, but these humans...they war
I agree with Markus. AI should try to grab the resource. (Or threaten the heck out of you for snaffling "their" resource.)
Small problem. How does the computer know that it is his resource? For example: Same system as one of his planets, within his zone of influence , 5 steps away from one of his mayor battleships, 10 turns for a constructor from his nearest starbase... Any suggestions?
Seems be an bug. At apolyton somesone recommended to uncheck "show prerelease versions" to fix it.
Problem for me personally is the "instant" gratifcation.... Lets see: You adjust the tax levels lowerinmg or increasing them and instantly you can see the new morale values all over your planets... Wouldn´t it be nicer that that morale adapts more slowly? Raising taxes for example morale drops rapidtly in a few turns and is adjusting slowly to the néw number of tax payers... Lowering taxes should take much longer time to improve morale (people tend to get angry fast if you take
Please, if you introduce a confirmation screen include although an option to turn it off. I hate it when the computer asks: "Are you sure" Yes "You know there are living millions of people on this planet, you still want to destroy this lovely planet? Yes "last chance, you still want ot proceed?" Listen when I press a button to destroy colony I want that you carry out this order without asking questions. "O.K. master you want to destroy lets say , half the colony....?"
My vote wo
(:( (:( (:( (:( (:( (:( (:( (:( @rayChua: I do the same, I vote all the time for myself still no luck.... @Stardock Starting options regarding random events....please?
;) Not really on topic but is there any place to look at all the polls wich have takenb place?
:) In the beginning many people complaint that the random events destroyed their games. I seems that Stardock listened to them and moved the "harder" random events though that they appear (if at all) later in the game. Unfortunatly the window of opportunity for these random events is now much smaller and when they appear they are unlikly to have much infuence on your game. Perhaps Stardock listens again and put in some options regarding randow events in the bonus pack....

Would it be possible to get back the invincinble space sharks etc.? Random events which can wreck harvok on small and bigger civs? In total make the programm on purpose less predicatable? ;)
"this sorta makes sense as the government returns the unused resources into the civie economy. " ;p Never seen it in real life, here in Germany the government will always find a place to spend the money....
@richard 1. Some computerplayer always build up their military might and use it to demand tribute of other AI´s especially the minor races => though they can run at 100% spending rates the whole tim / (many times you see messages that the Alexians are going broke and are not able to pay the drengin anymore, a very good strategy is to be the responsible for the econimic disaster of the minor civs => selling them trade goods or demand money yourself..... 2. Population: 100
:) Not sure if it is somewhere in this huge list: The ability to load and save gov. build queues. Including the option to create build queues which include items not yet researched but will be build when the tech is avaible. => After a few games I know quite well the buildings all my planets should get and which ones only my high class 1st grade worlds. At the moment it is simply annoying upgrading your govs everytime an interessting new building pops up.
