Do you have a link to dumhed's mod so I can take a look at it as well? I'm really stumped on this. tmphoenix, Yes they should be (and will be), but mostly for localization purposes. I was having trouble with StarsSystemDefs also but learnt from Dumhed's mod. If you add with the KerbolStart internal name might help you like it did me. Can't say for sure that's it, but could be worth a try. KerbolStart KerbolS
And what phrase specifies what ideology your faction will follow?
Yeh! I would like to Know this too. It could be that the weighting of the choices you give the AI determine what ideology the AI will use. ie. the personality traits and the race traits. As far as choosing the faction to play yourself then it might not matter, you go the path and choose the ideology unlocks yourself as you play the
You just have to remove the mod from the mod folder. Personally I have a backup in another folder else where for when I want to put it back in, just in case I accidentally delete it instead of cutting.
It works fine for me. Just in case something happened to the design folder I just recopied all the designs and stuck them in and replaced the old files. Best of luck with the comp.
Congrats to all the finalist [e digicons][/e] , looking forward to having a go at your factions. [e digicons][/e]
Sound's good. Glad the missile's missing even when they hit graphic is being addressed though soonish.
Yeh, sharing and playing user created factions and designs is going great in this game. It is commendable how much effort Stardock is putting in to make this possible.
Regarding creating a “MyOwnFlavors.xml”. You do have to have the correct hierarchy though yes? You can't just make a file and put this at the top
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="../Schema/FlavorText.xsd">
Its still got to have the FlavorTextDef parent & internal name for each particular scenario like "First contact, Peace, War
Blocked for me too scara_munga. Getting to it is hard too since you get spammed with adds and buttons you don't want. Might be a good storage site, but sharing??? Anyway, its not your fault or anything. Just saying.

Yep! I agree. There should have to be an agreement between factions to allow SB construction in foreign territory. Perhaps 1 thing that could be done to cover expanding and contracting boarders is to have "in territory priority". So if you have SB's from different factions in the same location and all are within range to harvest particular resources, then the SB that is in home territory should take priority and only that SB will harvest the resources. If the territory tha
This is probably a null question but just to make sure. I know the rules stipulate either the in-game tool or by creating a mod, but is the use of a combination of both ok?
Sweet! looking forward to it. Regarding modding custom factions, having a ball trying them out, but 1 thing I can't seem to work out is giving a custom faction its own 'StarSystem'. Is this possible? If not then what will happen when many factions are created and used? Will they have to share instances of the same default 'StarSystems' all the time? Note, this is ok, but how to put in the homeworld? or will we have to copy to the in-game faction editor to p
Someone asked this question on one of the Dev Streams a while back. From memory here, so I may not have perfect recollection of what the answer was, but I think they would look into it at a later stage & it might require a change in Stardock's licence agreement with Rad Games or something, to make an additional proprietary file type that modders could use. So I guess its still up in the air a bit at this stage. The other option I suppose is to contact Rad Games and see what op
