TweakVista pegs hard drive, freezes system in TweakVista & 7 Stardock Forums

When I run TweakVista, it pegs my HDD and makes the system unresponsive. I left it running for over 12 hours once but it never cleared up. The entire time, the HD light is stuck on and the entire system is unresponsive. It happens every time I run it. I can't kill TV because I can't get the task manager up to do it. I have to push the reset button on my system each time. Any ideas for things I can try to troubleshoot?

I am having this problem too. It makes the game extremely difficult to play for more than minutes. You can tell if it's happening because of a flicker in the menu screen after the opening cinematics. The flickers are in the same shape and place every time. I am running on a geforce4 4400 with newest drivers. I have tried changing anti-aliasing, and color depth but to no avail.
