The video tutorials from the pre-load were nice to watch. Gave a fairly good taste of all the screens. The text they display is too small to read however. The tutorials are something like 500x300. At least this UGO preview has a whole bunch of screenshots. This one shows the metaverse. Link

Reply to Galactic Civilizations: The case for no multiplayer in Galactic Civilizations II Stardock Forums

I've played in a dozen or so Civ 4 games with random people. All of them are set to be fast paced and you never get them completed. Doesn't bother me a bit that this one only has singleplayer. In fact, I'd rather have more in an expansion versus giving us multiplayer. Traditional 4x games just take too long to have much multiplayer appeal.
