When I first became a nurse a few years ago, I started out working on the telemetry unit at our local hospital. Although we saw all kinds of patients, the emphasis was on cardiac care...people who'd had bypasses, pacemakers, valve replacements, etc., people who'd had heart attacks, etc. etc. The youngest post-coronary bypass (open heart surgery) patient I cared for was something like 37 or 38 years old. Oh, gimme a break. The fact that this person is so dang serious about it makes it all the more laughable. Nothing's keeping you here, Fuerza. And the other responses to this thread make it clear that the WC community just isn't very receptive at all to your stance. I've bee
I'm a nurse, so the title to this thread immediately caught my attention...I thought the perhaps that was what your blood pressure was right now, so my response was going to be, go to the hospital immediately because you're about to have a stroke. If you are not a fan of Microcrud's Messenger it's a good move to go Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - Services Local and scroll down to 'Messenger'. You can set it for a manual startup or (my choice) just disable it .... no more pop-ups in the middle of your screen unannounced! I was also steered toward a small, free program
As I just posted in the comments for your wallpaper, songman, this picture looks kind of like my kitty...mine is a Turkish Van, so she's more white than anything else. But they still look like they could be related! And congratulations on your year of sobriety!!! Definitely a milestone to be proud of!!!
So sad to hear, Joe...my thoughts and prayers are definitely with you, your mother, and your entire family. The coming months will not doubt be difficult, but hang on to the love, the joy, and the beauty of your mother, and that will help carry you through.
