There are lots of $1,000,000+ homes in Santa Barbara, and particularly in Montecito, which is in the southern end of Santa Barbara, and where a lot of celebrities live. Oprah Winfrey is possibly the best-known resident of Montecito. And I'm not sure if the $600,000 figure was right, I keep thinking it may actually be $800,000, I'm just too darn lazy to do any research . And I couldn't begin to tell

Interesting article, sad too, in lots of ways. As an admin at a messageboard, I've had to deal with the occasional griefer/troll, and one that's been a major thorn in our side for 4-5 years has finally caused me to walk away from our messageboard for the time-being. It's a long, weird, ugly story, sad but true. Plus, I've seen a site I used to visit on a daily basis and get much enjoyment from go rapidly downhill after a troll forced the admins to change things at the site. The site

My first jobs were in the aerospace industry in the late 80's-early 90's, and you know what happened to aerospace back then...the bottom ped out hard and fast. I was out of work for nearly a year, so I definitely sympathize with what you're going through, Jason. Best of luck in finding a new job, and yes, China most assuredly does speak the truth!

WOM, I actually live in Santa Maria and work at the Lompoc branch of the county PH department, but I do pass through Santa Barbara on occasion...it really is a beautiful town, especially on a day when there are no clouds in the sky and the sun is shining so bright. But it's ever so expensive to live there...I believe I heard not too long ago that the median price for a house there is something like $600,000. And the rents are pretty hideous too. More and more people are working there but comm

Registered nurse, currently working for the public health department of Santa Barbara County. Before that, I worked at a local extended care center, then at the local hospital, then at a private clinic/doctors' office. Working for the public health department has been an eye-opening experience, let me tell you.

Keila, I used the Easter bunny cursor last year, and fell in love with it immediately ...I'll be using it again as we get a little closer to Easter. I'd somehow missed the other cursor set, though, so I've downloaded it now...thanks!

I thought maybe I was the only one experiencing bugs with the latest update of Bootskin, but from a couple of comments I've seen in other areas of WC, I've come to realize that I'm not the only one having problems. This latest update to Bootskin has broken the program, for all practical purposes . First bug is, bootskins don't get automatically imported after being downloaded. I've had to manually i

I first discovered WindowBlinds and Wincustomize right before Easter last year, and this is one of the first skins I used: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=81 From what I can tell, this is the only Easter skin here, and it's very cute...still, more Easter skins would be nice!

Am I the only experiencing a possible bug with the latest update of Bootskin? Once I updated the program this week, new bootskins don't automatically get imported like they used to...I've had to manually import each one. That's the minor bug. The major bug is that, no matter which bootskin I set as active, when I boot up the computer, I get the default XP screen. I've tried unintalling and reinstalling this newest version of Bootskin, but I'm still having the same problem. wwwaaahhh

Am I the only one having some problems with this latest update? First of all, new bootskins that I download aren't automatically imported like they used to be...I've had to manually import every bootskin I've downloaded since updating. Second, no matter which bootskin I set as being active, I get nothing but the default XP bootscreen when I turn on the computer. /me sad, something buggy about this update <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sad.gif" borde

My deepest sympathies to you and your family, jarget...I echo what others have said here, that her passing away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones was the best, most beautiful way to depart. My prayers are with you.

A cat named Flossie allows me to share her living space. She looks a little bit like this: She's about 14 or 15 years old. We're not totally sure of her precise age, but that's pretty close. And although she's an old kitty, she still acts like a kitten most of the time. She's been an indoor cat her whole life, and she could live to be at least 20. So hopefully she's got a few good years left in her. <b

Ah yes, webgizmos, very right you are...I'd neglected to point that out when I'd posted the links in the original thread. I have both AdAware and SpyBot installed, and I always run them after installing any so-called "freeware" like the screensavers listed at many of these sites. And I end up removing a ton of spyware and adware most of the time. So yes, definitely have some kind of spyware removal program on your computer before you try downloading anything. <img src="http://images.stardock

Listen to goodmorphing, he speaks the truth . Your body is adjusting to the medication, and all medications have the potential for causing side effects. Dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, and vomiting are probably the most common side effects that all medications can cause. Plus, yes, your system is going through some major adjustments and has to get itself settled down. It's going to take some time. <br
