So for any single unit, dps shown is for the total of all weapons of that type? That helps a ton!

Bumping this up to see if I can get an answer from someone who knows on how DPS is counted.
Greetings! I am getting something together to compile all the data on all the units once the final balancing is done before release, and I had a couple of questions. This is kind of half and half technical and timing. First of all, as the official release date approaches, how final are the unit statistics? Are there going to be drastic changes on the day of release, or are all the final balance changes going to be set before then? I ask because I want to put out some materials
As long as the space bar snap zooms to the mouse pointer I am ok with it.
Relative to unit size, Ashes maps aren't any bigger than supcom maps. The only reason it is difficult to see from a strategic perspective is BECAUSE there are no unit icons. Even at current zoom levels, it is nigh on impossible to see what any of the units are, especially when so many of the units look so similar from a small distance. It really doesn't make any sense to me at all to not have unit icons. Especially if they can be toggled on and off so that
Well, if it depends on the map size, and the point of the game is bigger maps...... I would think that chasing people in circles is quite a large problem.
eviator, if you post the video as "unlisted", anyone can access it but ONLY if they have the direct URL link. Publish it that way and post the link to the forum. It won't show up anywhere on your channel or in any searches.
Even more good news! Thanks for listening to current/future players (customers if we are honest)!
Frogboy, with that comment and a bit of play on the alpha version, you have won my full support :D The game as a whole looks pretty damn good/interesting, but the zoom was going to kill it for me. You just set my fears to rest!
The limited zoom really needs to go.... When I can only fit 5% of the map in the camera, it is not a good thing! It feels like starcraft :(
Just another side note, it is totally feasible to include an on/off toggle for strategic icons... And a toggle for minimap or no minimap... And a toggle for pretty much every element of the UI. Adding icons is an absolutely minimal amount of work, and strategic zoom is already there if you just take the limits off the camera. This would offer more choices to more players, so I don't really see a downside to including them. If people want to play without icons and lo
I've go to say, I was more hyped about this game than anything I have seen in years, and you pretty much killed it for me with the lack of strategic zoom. The only reason I don't play more RTS games is because the antiquated limited zoom scrolling view is PAINFUL to deal with, and minimaps are just awkward. Saying that you don't want strategic view because you don't want to encourage "distant" gameplay is a totally false argument. Taking SupCom: FA
