i usaly set my taxes to 45% and play fediralist.they are best with econimy. also after update you will have further econ bonuses you can chose from. i never build a military fleet until war is declared.the higher the populace helps too so colonize alot of planets. afew other things might be obvious like mine the econ resourses like crazy, econ and mining starbaes will help a ton trade routes.oh yes and keep an eye on fleet costs and kill off ships as you deem nesicary

sounds like u a big civilization player.although i do admit there are some planet screen things i would like to see like pop growth per turn i really dont have many complaints.only other thing i can think of that i would like to see is modules already on starbases without having to move a ship over it.

beginner? why? in my opinion there is no point to starting low as it is not a challenge. i always start at normal no matter what the game and try to win it sevral times the same way to ensure it wasent a fluke.if you really want a challenge try to win cultural or technilogical victory .im no genius either

this could have to do with your alignment. if you are good your screen will be more silver/white color neutral it will b brown and evil will be more dark. did u curently have a reandom or colonization event? if so there are good neutral and evil choices (as im sure you know)good is first neutral 2nd and evil 3rd so if u make enough evil choices your alignment will change .

ive noticed sevral gods and godesses from greek and roman times in the game along with the heros.Sol is the perfect example of it.he is a sun god in roman lore and Hestia is godess of the hearth and home.oh yea and if u see one named Vulcan its in refrence to the god of the forge not star trek :)
