lol, that event sounds pretty cool, but they need to have some way for us to atleast defend ourselvs.
armed2010
still need help
ya, my gamma settings for direct 3d, video display, desktop, and opengl dont to anything. Nothing I do effects the ingame brightness. There has to be a coded thing in the data files to help me out with this.
ya, but thats more of an exploit and takes too long
if anyone could help, that would be great, otherwise I cant play galciv.
sounds like we need an AI tweak.
I mean, just something that we could build that would provide instantaneous travel from point a to point b. Sort of like the stargates in the games backstory. I dont mean that the stargate lets you go anywhere, but you build a stargate at point a, build another stargate at point b, link them (and make them permanently linked so it cant be abused to go to any stargate) and once active, allows ships that go through it to slingshot to the second gate? This would be great for getting your ships to a
Ok, GalCiv is darker than it should be, and its hard for me to make out anomalies and stuff. I have gone to my videocard settings and upped the brightness, but it doesnt work. And unfortunately, there are no brightness settings in GalCiv. Is there anything I can change in a GalCiv data file that would make the game brighter?
...this isnt a bump. Dont you DARE say it is!!
ya, extreme newb question, but I seriously dont know. None of the modules say they will make get more of the resource.
np, its still a great game. It could defenitely have been worse.
Ok, im prettysure its my computer just being slow. I have a 450mhz pent 3, voodoo 3 16mb, almost 500mb ram, 4x cd-rom. If there is anyway for me to get the video and sound to stop skipping, someone please tell me :(
I think more diplomatic options should be made. The UP should have more of a purpose than a random rule changer. I know it would be destabalizing for us to bring up issues that could benefit us, because if we have 51% influence we will get it, but could things like battleing a universally hated enemy, or sanctions on a planet, or other things like that be implemented?
I finally got the game today :) but im in the learning stage where im barely playing, and just trying things out and doing things without much thought. How many games will I need to play before I get the hang of it, understand it, and start making moves where ive thought them out and stuff?
It says its not a valid archive or something. Im using winzip, and I have been able to extract all the other add ons. Whats wrong?
I think that B sounds good. It just makes sense :)
I dont know if this is in the game, because I dont have the game yet (being shipped, will have by wensday) but if the ability to complain to a civ about it declaring war on another civ isnt in, I think it should be. It hasnt been an option in other 4x games, so im just assuming its not an option here yet. If the civ refuses, I think we should be able to bring the issue up to the united planets. I think the united planets should be a big focus point for the game, so we should be able to do as many
Im sure Brad will fix it :) He has already done tons of bug fixes and helped the game out ALOT.
I rarely ever see the developers neccisarily care for a game they put out after its released, let alone actually see them on the message boards actually listening to player ideas and putting them in the game so fast. Im amazed at your dedication to the fanbase and to your game. This was one of the MAIN reasons I placed my order for Gal Civ yesterday, and anxiously hope it comes to my door tuesday. Its only been about a week or two, yet you have patches and player requested things out already, an
I sometimes like to play turn based games even after I win. Sorta like how Civilization 3 does. Could we be given the option of playing furthur into the game even though we have either gotten the alliance or control a certain amount of the galaxy or whatever?
Ok, im just a little confused. When I buy the game off of this site, and choose the download option also, am I charged anything extra? Or am I buying the game, for the correct price, and getting the download option as a free gift for buying the game? Also, I live in California, so what would the shipping and handling amount to?
I have a 450mhz Pent 3, Voodoo 3 16mb card (yes old I know), almost 500mb of ram, 4x cdrom drive. Will the game play?
