XenocidalManiac, We are definately looking for new members. If you join, check out the Official Aldarian Calendar at aldar.galciv.org, pick a date, and make up a holiday. Just don't pick Dec 31 or Jan 1 - I have something reserved for those dates :)

Proposed Tech: Reflectors in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Reflector Technology. Requires massive power generation, so it would only be available for planets and as a new starbase module. Basically it creates a defensive shield that inverts and reflects an attacker's energy.

Starbases should be much more powerful that any ship because of their vastly greater power generation capacity. Under attack, they could divert power from the Astral Spa and Casino to massive reflectors that invert attacking energy and reflect it back at the attacker. Or not. [Message Edited]

Sirian, The ship list will zoom to the ship if you click on the little icon on the left end of the entry. I use it all the time for chcking out new starbases I buy from the aliens.
