Yes, I do remember the game Imperium Freaking hard game to play. I am glad I am not the only one who has ever played that game. And it was very good game that made you feel like you were realy that leader. All future 4x games should take some lessons from it. Ascendancy is a good game and the 3D part of it very well used IMO. If there could be something similar would be great, but perhaps that is not what the majority of the people would prefer. I would. About the 3

Try the mp3codecs that are linked in a message above. ~SDC~
Thank you for that Do you want fries with that? It made my laugh and I needed it. ~SDC~
I received this email from the above address, although the contents look ok I am not sure if it is a proper email from Stardock or some spam. The @yahoo.com is the reason. Is it a proper Stardock email? ~SDC~
Hyper sensitive? More like sick and tired of bs. GalCiv is the only game together with Midnight Club II that I keep playing and I see things in both of the games that I don't like. So do other people and some of them say it openly here. Oh, nevermind, its a circle. ~SDC~
Why can't someone make a suggestion or critisize (sp?) some part of this game without someone eventualy make a comment like shut up or try this or that game or something like that? Why can't people who like this game also talk about the bad things (as they see it) about it without this confrontation? It sucks to have this reaction. It kills potential customers and current customers as well. ~SDC~
I was defending well although just a couple of ships (Battle axes) and starbases against an unprovoked attack by the much more powerful Drengin, who were first in almost every category. I had fallen behind technologicaly, they were attacking with battleaxes and frigates. Lots of them! In 5 turns I got 4 Rangers! YES!!!! and with some frigates a bit later that were given to me by the Altarian I am kicking their butt back to the stoneage. :-) ~SDC~
What are the limits for production? ~SDC~
Modified or not they are still my favourite ships. Even when I can and afford to build larger ships they are just too damn good! With a few bonuses they are my favourite all around ship in terms of battles. I also like Frigates for fast interdiction. Battleaxes are good for defense if you are not a very attacking civ. At least thats how I see things. ~SDC~
Stay away from that child of evil!!! (the new reach for the stars) IMO always. ~SDC~
The file that it says is missing is in the windows\system directory, copy that file in the directory that the executable is and it will solve the problem. I am not a moderator but trust me. ~SDC~
copy that file (it should be in your windows\system directory) into the one where the setup file is. ~SDC~
Shouldn't something be done about this? I can understand one light ship getting destroyed by one battleship but 50? (random numbers). I think there should be some bonuses for the attacking fleet so that you can fight even without huge ships. ~SDC~
What exact problem do you have installing it? ~SDC~
Too lazy? I dont know... But I never do. Unless there is an emergency or something. I even leavce the tax rate where it is at the start of the game. :-) I do change the government spending though when needed, but, prefer to sell than reduce it less than 100. ~SDC~
Thats very interesting. ~SDC~
Its very interesting what is going on in here. At one hand we have those who want mp in this game very much, perhaps even too much for the good of their point. Then we have those who are "also" fanatic, but for the SP portion of it. So much so that they are scared that a MP aspect in the game will magicaly ruin the game for those who prefer the SP. I just want to say something for most of those who want a MP in, MP is good when done correctly, also its not like we are talki
Then why would you do it? ~SDC~
Well, Crushbone, I also have examples of games that take ages to complete yet people still play them, Empire Deluxe is one of them. I had games taken years due to not enough time, but there was never a problem finding people to play with. And I am talking about PBEM not "live". If the game is good, it works and people want to play against other people then people will buy it. ~SDC~
I have noticed that too. It doesn't sound too serious though. ~SDC~
I more or less agree with all the above, except number 5. I don't like that idea. Too much more micromanage for no reason. Unless (unlikely of course) it is a game option. ~SDC~
What Qui-Gon Jinn says is a good idea. Combine it with cap and its excellent! :-) If you both have reached the limit in cultural buildings/upgrades/points then someone willhave to move more aggessivily to destroy or damage the other ones capacity to create culture points. Hmm, perhaps also with some sabotage missions? Or..if you could pay the pirates to attack a specific sector (with danger that they will go wild) to destroy the base that creates culture points for the enemy. Or
Either as an expansion or a sequel I am 100% in favour of multiplayer in Galciv. BUT, not if it is going to cut parts/fun from the single player aspect of the game. For me its first of all a single player game and then anything else. (that is for all my games btw). ~SDC~
My view is that it should be capped. As well as military and social production. But that is just me. :-) ~SDC~
Hmm, yeah, I get these assert errors too. I wonder if they are connected with the crashes. Last time I didn't click on anything! It just crashed. ~SDC~
