Knock knock, still in the toilet, can ANYONE spare a square please?

Hence, filtering of information needs to be implemented first.
Good proposal - if you happen to have several constructors sitting around doing nothing, just point them to the star base and the SB's build queue would use the constructor. You would run into a possible situation however that a constructor is seeking shelter from an enemy fleet at a star base, and dont want it to use the constructor points at that time. Perhaps a "pause build queue" option per star base could be the simple solution to this possible scenario. </p

There are decent amounts of information provided in the notifications tab. Races going to war, etc. But right now its completely flooded with trivial events. While a flavor based feature like a "Galactic News Brief" would be fun, you still need to know what information to report in such a feature. I think they could have a much more simple system by allowing quick and easy filtering of the information in the notifications tab. Right now, especial
The difference between an exploit and a strategy is greatly different if you are talking about AI vs AI, or Human vs AI, or Human vs Human. At this time with the mechanics and AI programming, the AI doesnt react well or behave well, with the tremendous amount of information offered by the huge visibility offered by sensor boats. So, in the 3 case mentioned above: AI vs AI: It wont build such large boats in the first place, and would certainly confuse c
Heh, why do you think China and Russia have stayed in the UN after all these years?
It can work with veggies too! Hence it will take care of all your rubbish needs. EDIT: Damnit, another auto correct fail - I meant roughage
But it lets you easily do the same exact thing, over and over and over and over, with delicious results.

If you want set it and forget it methodology giving most efficient results, I suggest you buy the Ronco Stainless Steel Rotisserie. At $120, it is indeed more expensive than GC3, but is guaranteed to take care of all of your paltry needs. EDIT: sorry, i meant poultry
Was 100 factions advertised, or 100 races? As well, a minor could still be considered a faction, its just a minor one.
The AI gets range bonuses on many things, at higher difficulty levels (above normal difficulty). The devs honestly dont want to put all of these bonuses in here, but until they can really get the AI to properly stand and eventually run on both feet, things like this will be needed to give disparity between the difficulty levels. I really doubt they have an AI developed system that says "ok, on challenging level, only spend X computations to determine best decision
IMO, a gaming exploit is the knowing use of a design oversight of a mechanic which breaks balance and/or design intent. On the other hand, a gaming strategy is efficient and effective use of properly balanced game mechanics, to take advantage of the current situation you are in. As well, its a methodology that can be used by anyone. And concerning the American Revolutionary war, there are no rules in love or war. If anything, the Brits called the Ameri
So, you've just admitted that the more planets you have, and more opportunity to specialize, that your version of LEP being money based can be completely nullified by late game? Praytell, whats wrong with a PERMANENT debuff? There are numerous ways approval LEP can be changed to lessen the impact to tall empires and more greatly punish wide ones. With the current penalty and approval/rawproduction curve, no.
Derek, when we will have the next 1.1 optin, and will it have the release notes?
On the 8320, I'm at 3.92GHz. The base rate is 3.5, and the specs say 3.75 is the turbo limit, so my air based cooling system is performing decently (haha, I smoke way too much in my computer room, and my fans and MB are always filthy - further, even though I have 3 fans in the case, none seem to be adjustable in speed). Havent looked at coolers before, after writing that post I only started looking into it for the first time. I saw the corsair. The data I'm loo
They have to have a limit, as all things. 100 sounded good for marketing purposes. To ensure the most people in the player base could play 100 factions due to their HW, they chose to take creative license on their original specifications and marketing. Yes, 10 minors, 89 majors, and 1 human.
...and make sure to write off the materials as a "business expense" on your taxes :)
Thats what steam workshop is for, in v1.1. I'm still seeing bugs with downloading ships (need to restart game, always, and some ships just dont work), but the custom races in 1.1 workshop seems to work pretty well. It hot loads with no problem. The only "errors" I have seen, are that certain mods screw up the portraits, but you run into that issue with any custom faction mod. Hell, the only complaint I have, is a steam design issue of their
I had problems too. I think it started working when I actually put the files in the Galactic Civilizations III dir, under steam, rather than the Galciv3\mods dir.
Damn right!
Oh yeah, I'm very happy with it. I bought it with my new PC rebuild 18 months ago, and it I'm quite surprised there hasnt been much more advanced cpu development by AMD or Intel. Except with my video card (I did buy a fairly cheap on), I'm fairly futured proofed I think for a few more years...hopefully :) I am going to look into getting a water cooler however, to see if I can overclock even more. Gotta push it till it melts! :)

The standard amount of virtual memory that windows allocates should be fine for huge maps and s
Well done on the video, but you REALLY should do it on v1.1, as the improved tooltips show raw production (aka total manufacturing), and it will be much easier to explain, because the answers themselves are in the tooltips.
