Nope, that should be it. I cant comment on what might be wrong with your mod, but where you put the mod, and enabling mods in options is all you have to do.

Does anyone have an explanation why AMD processors seem to not be using all of their cores with GC3? Several people have said this on various threads in which performance was discussed. My AMD FX8320 with Win8.1 is running only 6 of 8 cores with G3. If I multitask during soak, my web browser seems to be using the other cores.
Thats really really odd. I've got an FX 8320 and I've been playing around with performance tonight, haha, no intent on playing these massive games with current micro hell, but to each his own. I just loaded 54 races on insane, and I have no problem with the first turn. The game does AI work during your turn (non-interactive calculations), therefore as soon as the game was ready, I launched soak. It took maybe 40s on the first turn, and subseque
No, the artform of proper patching died many years ago. Its just a matter of shutting down, replacing the file, and restarting. In the grand scheme of things, replacement is by far less complex. I'm a bit biased as I spent my career in the telecommunications sector, where 99.999% and now 99.99999% uptime reliability was an industry mandate. That very small amount of downtime was "reserved" for outages/crashes :) But now with the architecture
Ok, I understand your issue now, sorry I thought you were dealing with the rally point mechanic. I havent played around much at all with the Govern-commands section. Its very very poorly implemented IMO, having a few decent uses, but ship movements in this interface are by far too generalized. Yes, I see you dont have an option to go back to the "unassigned" value, which is first present there. You should certainly open a ticket on that, but hopefully they will ignore
yeah, sounds like a silly overflow issue. Please let us know your ticket #.
I'm pretty sure I have read that one of stardock's goals with 64bit multi-core support is that the AI will be working on its turn, while the much slower human is performing his/her turn. I've got a soak running on insance galaxy, 16 races, max minor races, and I dont see as much impact as I would have thought. I'm at turn 463, the planets are certainly all settled, with the possible exception of harsh terrain planets. Initially running
Find the rally point on the map, select it, and the command will be on the bottom right You are right however, you should be able as well to delete the RP there, but that seems to be an oversight by the devs.
Select the rally point, and there should be a command bar on the bottom left to allow you to delete the rally point.
I'm not arguing that - Im absolutely certain his mod makes the game much better than it is now. I'm simply debating that his design approach is not the best approach. Nevertheless, I applaud his efforts, and i'm happy to know you have built your first economy building and the game is more challenging and fun for you. However another challenge for you would be to not use traits and tech trees that are without a doubt OP in the current state
I'm sure the AI changes he made have a DEEP implications as well.
No, your memory is fine. I've got 8GB of ram as well, and I can only play the smaller maps without any page file (virtual memory, using disk space for memory, caveat is that it is slower). However, I've only been using 8GB of virtual memory, and I have 2 slots left, so I may upgrade to 16GB of ram and be able to remove the VM and increase performance. However, I dont play insane maps, because the micro needed, is well, insane :) But that will a
Plenty of people in other threads have stated they dont have a problem with approval, so you arent speaking for the entire GC3 community, by any means. You have your opinion, as I have mine. But I've seen the dev opinions as well, and morale based LEP is simply not going away. It was introduced to GC3, and they want to make it work. Does it need tweaking, HELL YES. Just wait to see their plan.
well, then research morale techs FFS. There is an early +4 which will solve your problems.
I cant get it to use more than 6 of my 8 processes. But that's really the OS's decision, not GC3s. I remember readinging a year or 2 ago, when I decided to get this AMD processor, that there will be issues with multi threading for gaming (think this is the first true multi-core supported game I've played). Now, if I happened to be doing a lot of other computing, like watching a movie, running huge excel files, all of this simultaneously, then the AMD extra cores
Well, was thinking perhaps you were "low" on memory. Go to task manager and then performance tab to see how much avail memory you have, you may have to increase your virtual memory pool size. Its a long shot. Follow this link to open a ticket: https://forums.galciv3.com/464896/page/1/
I never thought Rupert Murdoch would have more taste and class than this forum community :)
Happening on every game? In the middle of a recent game? Did you recently patch, or mod any files? How is your PC memory atm? does it happen on all small maps, with fewer races? It definitely shouldnt be happening, you may need to open a ticket.
Hmm, I read that it is indeed supposed to be working on itself "during" your turn. I dont play insane, but I'll keep an eye on it, as I too have an AMD FX-8350.
Personally I'd get rid of the LEP altogether as I want to play insane maps with abundant like I did in GC2 but the LEP kills your morale to the point your not even gonna get anywhere near the empire size (planet wise) of GC2 and that is really starting to turn me off of GC3 and since I have GC2 on steam and disc if GC3 falls flat I'll go back to playing 2 and just designing ships for 3.
I certain
I'm not staying approval is working well in its current condition. Some fundamental changes I see needed: .Approval needs to affect tourism income (fair and realistic) .Approval curve needs to be designed to harshly affect the "I'll just always ignore approval" scenario. -50%, -75%, -200%? I think people would then care to stay out of the low end (sad). The opposite can be done for the high end, +50%?. .The pop:prod curve needs to be lo
That is an option for a custom race, picking a solar system with NO habitable planets. Is this a custom race which you downloaded?
I have played many attrition games, and yeah, I think repair should be increased, but mainly because I was repairing at planets, not starbases :) Nevertheless, wouldnt it be better to give this as a few tech advancements? I mean, the human player is probably the only one really going to use it effectively. As large ships are the main ships used during a campaign, you have increased the repair rate 3-10 times. A bit too much??
Until both of you spell out the math, calculation by calculation, this will all be lost in translation. :) Regardless, lets go with the worst case scenario, "death furnace doubles a planet's manufacturing". Isnt this a bit inconsequential on nearly any map except the smaller ones, as this is a player unique structure? ONE planet gets "double production"? As well, ANY player can get it if they put the points into it? The arbitration center is the on
Isc9x, Hate to burst your bubble about terraforming, but all terraforming techs are colony unique, except one. That means techs like biosphere, etc, you can only use ONCE. Use it wisely. Its a pain not knowing ahead of time, which techs will unlock which plots, for proper planning. On big decisions, I've save the game, gone into debug console and unlocked all techs, and then did my planning. The one terraforming tech which can be reused indef
