I can't believe that the Oxford Internet dictionary's tertiary definition of singularity "A hypothetical moment in time when artificial intelligence and other technologies have become so advanced that humanity undergoes a dramatic and irreversible change"
Obviously, you never played Warzone 2100 (RTS game), it is all about The Nexus, and this was made way back in 1999!
Does it work without crossfire?
Hooray! I presume Vulkan will let us Windows 7 folks use two cards?
Eh? Vulkan can run on Win 7/8, DX12 can't (won't). If you mean crossfire/SLI, then, maybe.
Quoting igncom1, reply 1 Depends how you define dead. There is still dev development going on, so there is still stuff to look forward to. Okey, that sounds good! But im also woundering about the community,
I got the same vid card, and it doesn't go above 75C. That means you need to clean the fans or even your case, something is blocking good airflow.
More cores is future proof. Seems silly to buy only a quad core these days. Intel is coming out with more cores as well, so, if you don't want Ryzen, then you can wait for intel's hex/octo core CPUs.
Those numbers look too low, a 8370 has higher #'s.
Multiplayer LAN would be a great feature to have but unfortunately every feature and change we make has an opportunity cost, especially as our team is quite small. It's on the list so it may happen at some point, but it's not a priority. I'm guessing only ~1% of the player base would find it useful.
That is the same kind of thinking when the game came out, that nobody plays SP games...when in realit
Reboots are usually a BSOD, turn that off to look at the actual crash message. You can also look in event viewer to see if it says anything. The other causes of a system reboot are heat or PSU issues.
First of all, I don't question your priorities and your motives, they're yours, and I understand both, that you need to do your finance math / business case to justify a port and have different priorities bringing the game to more players (performance etc.). That's fine, even when I see that a game not developed with cross platform from the beginning can result in a lot of work. My question rather concerns the port to Vulkan - why th
OP, also, you do have lots of stuff running in the background as well, I would NEVER play a game with AVAST (or any other program of that type) running. I would turn off all the extra crap that is being loaded at boot time, and just run AotS then, and see if you have the same behavior.
IDK about a bad example, I was showing that I didnt get much for Ashes, but cut video ripping in half. I mean that you cant just upgrade the CPU unless you have a high end Video card. For me to see the gains of my processor, first I have to fix the video bottleneck. Video ripping can use the video card with its latest release and it made some difference, just not as much as the cpu for video ripping. Was going to say video card didn
Attached is a screen shot of the game booting. I have 16 gigs of ram, and unless I close down everything, the game crashes on start up. This ram is released after loading, and I can re open anything I like. I have seen that Ashes front loads all assets, which I see in game, little loading times, but why does it use over 7 gigs, when even big campaign maps it's barely hitting 4. Graphically my settings aren't super pretty, which makes me

Machine powering off can only be two things, heat or PSU related.
Are there any changes from the beta, or is this essentially the 2.2 beta?
The reboot is just a BSOD. Turn that "feature" off to see what you are crashing in, it will show you the actual BSOD instead of rebooting. Check event viewer as well, might help locate the problem. Sounds like you are crashing in video drivers though.
Hello, just bought this game about 4 hours ago and it just won't start. Can someone please have a look at the submitted ticket? #JPM-226-28920 Thanks
What are your system specs? What is the crash? It is possible the community may solve the issue before the tech support people get a chance to look at it.
Excellent, excellent news! I said it before, but, I will say it again, Kudos Stardock for doing this! Can't wait for Vulkan & my linux buddies finally being able to get this game!
Where you at Island Dog? Stream started, and you are MIA?
If things go as planned as outlined here, then a HUGE kudos to Stardock!
I see people assuming that the bulk of the early access players would have preferred Escalation. But I don't see a lot of evidence for that. Otherwise, they would have mostly upgraded to it already. The only way to really tell will be to give early access players copies of Escalation and see which game, in the long-run, has a bigger player base.
