I know many people loathe DLC, any chance of having a all-in-one bundle with the expansion?

Sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant it had a dialog pop up asking for e-mail address and um... something else, and then a submit button. That dialog. I tried the first mission in DX12, all was fine there. I went back to DX11, and I did get a freeze of around 5-6 mins before it resumed again.
This is like the freeze I reported a long time ago via a savegame I submitted. Thing is, it will eventually come back to life, it is almost like a race condition of some type. The other thing is, you never know when it will come back to life, since it will start up again, then freeze again.
Well, was all excited to try this game from the start again (campaign), and when it just started to go into the action part, where the guys are requesting help, it crashed. The (new?) crash handler has a few issues though, 1) there is no preview of what it is trying to send to Stardock, and 2) there is no privacy policy that I can find on that dialog. The crash dump itself is: [quote]Process Name: Ashes_DX11.exe : ... Process Architecture: x64 Exception Code: 0xC000000

The prices of cards like R9 390 will go down even more and boy, those are some powerful beasts. About the 1070/80, hard to tell at this point. You will definitely get an increased performance, but most of the "benchmarks" you see now were done under the controlled environment. Just to clarify, you are getting 1 mini-mission, and 5 maps for $4. Those 5 maps will be able to be played by people that didn't buy the DLC in MP games if the host has bought the DLC, right?

Run furmark, and see if you have corruption, if you do, then you need to RMA the video card.
Just what artifacts are you talking about? You mean the dots on the explosions, or is it something else? Does it do that in DX11 as well?
[quote quoting="post"] Will the New Nvidia GTX 1070 and 1080 work well with this game? How about the Direct X 12 capability? [quote who="Frogboy" reply="19" id="3634328"] Re sharing player made maps seamlessly. This won't be easy any time soon because a map is 140MB in size on average. People will have to, for the time being, share maps the same way they do in other games, which is through mod sites. Eventually we'll have Steamworks support for this to allow people to do this. But there won't be a case in the near term where the host is transferring a 140MB file t

Something got corrupted in your system then, since that is definitely not needed for win 10. I even installed AotS on my other machine to confirm this.
[quote who="eviator" reply="2" id="3634052"] If someone doesn't find the game fun there are two likely issues: 1. They don't really understand the game. Often this comes down to not knowing the power of quanta/research/orbitals or not understanding the value of unit composition. Can you come up with scenarios that highlight the depth of these in a way that convinces them that such aspects are more than just "oh isn't that nice" but actually crucial to gameplay dept
Yes, that is by design, nothing happened since Windows 10 already has the latest version of DX 11 & 12... so no need to install anything extra.
Steam is required to play this game. That is what is listed on their site.
This was only a test, and, yes, I was using the smallest map and I was running the map editor in a window, with the other screen showing RAM usage, and while it did hit 6GB, it didn't go over that. If it was a RAM problem, you would think it would throw up an error message. Just trying to find out what caused it, and why.
