I can't seem to get other civs to like me, especially when I really need to form an alliance against a dominant military power (ie when I need it the most). It seems to me that being good alignment wins you the friendship of other good aligned civs - but how can I make the relationship "close"? What works? Do tell. Camdar
Once I get the "Alliances" skill I expected to see "Form Alliance" or some such option appear under the "Treaties" heading when speaking to other civs. Doesn't seem to be there. Do you have to reach some sort of high level of friendship first? Camdar
Watch it! : ) Higher taxes slow population growth, and can even decrease population. As it's explained by devs higher taxes don't actually kill people, but knock them down into a poor social class where they can no longer afford to pay taxes. Camdar
Aha. Here's an idea then. If that's the only case in which "No Resources" will appear, change the message to "Debt! Spending Frozen" or something. Drive on. Camdar
My Empire is slightly in debt, but shows a 450 BC growth per turn. If your empire is in debt Government expenditure gets frozen until the debt is paid? Is that why you ask?
Great game, honestly. That's why I'm a little frustrated. This happened to me with the old release version and the new patched version. After getting involved in a planet invasion or 2, suddenly ALL of my planets no longer list months until projects are done, instead they all say NO RESOURCES. What the???? Anyone? Bug or something major I'm missing. Camdar
