Steam exclusive??? Wasn't aware of that... why? I bought directly from Stardock to avoid Steam, yet it seems to be the only way to download... would you please reconsider this and add download links from Stardock for us who do not want Steam and bought from you? Thanks.
Quoting ManiiNames, reply 31 The easiest way to buy it is probably through Steam. I am not sure if you can buy it from Stardock.com any more or not, but you could try that way as well. Buy it directly from us. We get more money to reinvest in new games: https://www.stardock.com/buy?s=ESD-SDE-W022
I just did, but I c

Congratulations, Cari. Motherhood is THE most important job in the world (more so these days that it is being so much neglected...). Hats off to all women who, like you, decide to focus on it. Now go ahead and raise the next generation of top developers! ;)

This may be small, but it may change the game at the tactical level: Something I always liked only "halfway" is the tactical battle in Stardock's games... halfway meaning that it is indeed a very good solution to the battle part of a 4X (I wish some people at Firaxis would have learned that before engaging in the for-me-at-least biggest desing error of their latest Civ, but that is another story), but the other half remains lacking for me... Yes, I know, what half yo

I just don't want the parrot to ruin another game I like (and my children, for that matter). You should learn to take comments lightly (but the underlying content seriously). How would I know what youve purchased or not? Take comments lightly/serious

OP has a point. My 9-year old boy fell in love with FE after his sister bought the beta; granted, he is an avid Civ5 player, but still... he managed to create a custom sov that even in the hands of the AI is pretty much unbeatable. He turns 9 this next Sunday... if he is able to create such a "monster" within the game rules, then something is out of balance. Perhaps the plus/minus system of the traits...
Rebelito, in case you haven't figured this out, already: The second box, under the Downloads section of the Stardock Store, is labeled: Beta Update (to 0.90.002). But this so-named "update" actually embodies the patch, from .86 to .90. I downloaded it a short time ago, and it all worked just fine. So, I think it should work for you too. Good Luck ! Yikes, you are right, do I need to download .90.001 and update? I though I download .90.002 for my .86 beta? I'm not sure that point.
Well, downloading now... worst case and we have to install from scratch, I'm ahead... best case, they up

Not to disrupt the flow of discussion, but any aprox date for b3? My daughter is about to kill me, as I "promised" her she would have the new beta as of April 12... yes, the game has been bought through my account, but she is the actual buyer, a huge fan of FE, and poor thing, she prepared in advance for last week's release (pre-done homework, etc)... any new release date for her? Thanks. Nothing more insistent than a 12-year old girl that is a fan of fantasy

... yet he gave land units the "magic" ability to "transform" themselves into their naval transports the moment they touch the ocean (civ5)???? With all due respect, but some consistency speakes a huge lot about professionalism, doesn't it? I agree fully with the idea, though. It's just that sometimes ideas can get hit hard depending on who the messenger is.

One small correction: Jon Shafer was not the designer of Beyond the Sword, he only worked on a component of it: Espionage. Please correct. About the beta, my daughter is happily playing it (b2), but complaining about the crashes. She just loves FE, pre-ordered it with her own money because she could not wait to try it. Any chance that a new beta comes out sooner than spring (or maybe early spring)? Thanks,

Indeed, but you designed both in very different "moods" so to speak, judging by your own posts about the latter... using my own impression and terms here, let's say you designed GC2 (brilliantly) ala Brad, while you designed the original EWoM ala Shafer... The insults from the "geniuses" here I couldn't care less about, so spare them for somebody else that cares about people full of inferiority complex. That's that. Your point is interesting. I know corporate matters in and ou

yet Soren designed Civilization 4 and Shafer designed Civilization 5... the HUGE difference between the two is out there for anyone to see it. Chanta!

It's called "paying for a product" in this part of the world... how is it called in yours?Except you are talking about an upcoming purchase being delayed. As in you don't even own the game. Get lost troll.
No, I'm talking about Civ5. Get lost, analphabet.
