Could have stuck to the same thread, I see the game was just postponing the bb creation is that it? If so thats a good feature :/
Astax
I recal the fully playable sim city demo in which you couldnt cross railorads/roads/powerlines. BOY did that limit the game :/ But you did get to experience everythign in the game! Something like that would be cool :/ Maybe limit the tech? I dont know
We all know most games use "unrandom" random events. Basically they use em to help the lowest player catch up or to slow down the top player. How is that random? What's the story in galciv? Is the stuff really random or as foolish as all the other games?
I used to colonize planets based on the picture :/ I dont see the point of having so many levels if anything below 15 is useless :/ We can call those 0s and move on starting with 1
if you are a war monger maybe. But are you sure it was all the AIs or only the evil ones? It would make sense for the evil ones to pick war party. All parties have their bonuses and allow for diverse playstyle. I used tech party my last game, and it was funny how hard it was for AI to keep his war party in power rendering his bonuses useless :/
:/ Funny stuff but come on the way the game uses the deep space nine reference is commical and satire is protected under the law.
On those crappy planets where regular colony would just not fly, maybe using constructors to make a mineral extraction base or something to boost production or bcs.
during the game there is an event that renders one inhabitible system habitable and there is a vote in UP to see who gets it.
You know the first movie which sows your colony ship leaving the system, should be a way to turn that sucker off after first time its no longer a fun thing to watch.
Oh I figured its becuase they got more orders then they have serial numbers!!!!!
Increasing the taxes lowers your population!!! Always be weary of govn't spending, generally it shouldnt be past 40% most of the time and always balance your budget. Increasing taxes is never the answer if you can decrease spending! Dont build moral improvememnts on planets with 100% morale. I usually leave moral out of quque and tailor it in on planet to planet bases. And keep a cash surplus to buy moral buildings in case of a sudden unhappiness. Also there are galactic events that either boost
A wise man once said cant argue with resualts. Resualts here being its not frikin worth it!! Dont try to understand why, you'll give yourself a headache.
often problem with striking your home planets isnt the fualty AI its the range :/ The capital ships cant reach that far into your territory. I too noticed its inability to mount an assualt larger than one ship. I mean I see him move fleets of ships but one ship at a time!
what i hate is having a planet with 100 billion people on it and you colonize another planet in same system it takes half the people puts them there :/ Having 50 billion people on a level 12 planet makes no sense to me!! We should suggest stricter population control and management tools :/ Like maning the combat transport from a specific colony not the system overall ect.
Best defense for a home base sector is distance!!! If you play on Gigantic galaxy and have a home base in a corner, you dont need to protect it at all :/ I still keep ships incase fo some stupid rebellion like the damn event that made me cry last ngiht when my best level 49 planet formed some sort of a coalition agianst the evil and left with 100 billion people!!!! Dear god I would never capture that back I jsut stopped playing, it had every capital you could concieve and it could make any trade
thats what i thought aswell
Since Im not one for tactical combat when im still knee deep in social programs, I gave hell of a lot of battle ships and tech to make em to the other sizable civ that was at war with my enemy. They loved me for it until we brought the enemy down to their knees.... then they started to demand tribute from me! Those ungreatful bastards!
Yeah I had a problem with moving my battle ships, when one of the races surrendered to me cuaseing me to have a devided empire. So I sent battle ships to reinforce my new positions only to have them all intersepted while traveling through space between the two parts that is out of range to them :( Then I got angryand used my surveyor ships which now was beyond invulnerible and tactically whipped my opponent out one ship at a time. Havign a speed 2x greater than all his cpital ships made for some
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Here I thought you could make planets and stars nooooooooooooooooo! I cry now IRL :(
My building queue is usualyl fusion gen then manufacturing centers, that gives you a nice start and speeds up production. Fusion gen is way faster to build than manufacturing center and inturn it allows the center to be built faster. In big systems I build starbases and update the mining pods that add to your production and the economic once too, there is one with 3 different marks that will upgrade your social and military production.
I noticed that too, i used to colonize every planet I could before I saw the AI not doing the same. Then I played without colony-whoring and I had way more production :/ Plus the population growth on those crappy planets is god awful. I actually had planets with like 100 million people and it just wouldnt go up :(
Just a thought but did you compare the range of the two ships? I may be wrong but I thought Battleships had a longer range, which is a great advantage for a ship that size.
That one is said to be VERY rare, try playing HUGE galalxy a few times, maybe once you'll get it :(
Actually all those sound great. If you implement social project for cashback thou you have to make sure AI always sticks it in there when queue is empty. Or you can have three project, one is to move the production to military, one to reaserch and one to cash. Ofcourse it will have small penalty I would imagine. However what about if you dont wish to build any military projects????
