You're right Solitair... For those that aren't aware it's the Rugby World Cup in Australia at the moment and yes the USA does have a team in it as do Canada although they will both be going home next week. Being a Pom (stands for either a) Prisoner of Mother England b) Prisoner of His Majesty) If you look at the English (not Brits) sporting failures against Australian teams over the past few years or decade, you cop a lot of flak over here about it. So

Well said Wild One... I've just noticed the Obi Wan is leaving due to all the changing that's been going on. I feel guilty now for having this month's break, which was just a bit of fun and not intended to stir up people like Theodan in the metaverse review article. I apologise to all if I have caused offence with my actions.

Lot's been happening over the weekend... Most importantly, England were very lucky to get past a very good Samoan side.. was on the edge of my seat until the last quarter.. Anyway on to other matters... Great story Wombie, I am always amazed at how good you, Killa and Quack write, truly brilliant. Thanks for the dedication Killa, got a lump in my throat reading it.. In response to Wombie's open letter, you have kind of hit teh nail on the head for me, I guess

I know it's not Leeuwin Estate, but Sandalford have some very very good premium reds and Houghtons is also home to the vey good value Moondah Brook label.. Their 2001 Shiraz is very easy to drink.. I would liek to have gone to teh Margaret River but not enough time.. And Hurls yes very pleased with the result, alt

I liked a comment I read by you on another thread where you give the aliens a sub PQ planet and call it Ashlyn's Zoo... Now there's ab idea for a story line... I was in Perth over the weekend, and went on a wine cruise up the Swan River and bought 9 cases of wine plus and absolutely wonderful Port... Think thats the end of my travels for a few weeks so will try (I promise) to do some

Will look out for those Hurls... I will know next week if I will be in Melbourne probably 25th - 26th, I'm off to Perth tomorrow to support the English Rose against the Springboks, Pity I won't get a chance to get to the Margaret River.. I have also heard that the current good thing from the Hunter Valley is Lakes Folly... Just about to win all sorts of trophies so the price will shoot through the roof once it gets those medals stuck on the outside.. Another Hunter wi

Hurls I like your summary above but only 3-4 dozen bottles a year? That's less than one a week.. I've been in Oz now for just over 6 years and probably started buying around the 95 wines, so am now in full rotation. I would guess I buy about a dozen cases a year including a couple of cases of leg opener (oops champagne oops sparkling wine... you know what I mean)
