i would rate the game difficulty a bit differently. The main factor is doomsday speed. The faster it is the harder the game. So far i have found only one way of winning impossible with fast doomsday counter: Tinkerer sovereign (with hypnotise) + ranger hero. many may say that ranger sucks but i love him for 2 reasons: eagle with 6 movement and +1 movement for the party. And the eagle is quite important because you have to rush to the sorcerer keep as fast as you can before
