Take your time, a January release is fine with me, in the mean time we get to test the Beta so its a win-win situation.

How much larger are Immense Galaxies than the Gigantic Galaxies? I'm playing the beta with Immense Galaxies and was just wondering.
Thanks for the update info!
I just got home from a company (mal)function and found the Arnor update waiting to be downloaded...... Wow! Super fast on the download and install......
^ *drool*
Thanks GalCiv2 team for all the great updates and stuff! I will never have a clue what goes on under the hood of this great game but I do know that it is one of my favourite games of all time!
I just placed my Pre-order!
Great, I'm looking forward to giving it a go!
I would rather see 2 or 3 more expansion packs for GC2 until GC3 is done, a 3 (or more!) year wait between Twilight of the Arnor and GC3 would be waaaayyyy too long, I'm getting old...who knows how much time I have left!
Excellent news! I love all the new features, "New Galaxy Size: Immense" is my favourite one!
Great news! Looking forward to 1.7!
There are so many ideas in this thread so I'm not sure if something like this has already been suggested...... How about a Mega Event that affects the space-time continuum? Depending on the size/power of the Mega Event maybe a few subtle changes to the game to maybe huge changes that throw the outcome into a new direction.
Hi RoPa - Sorry for the trouble you've been having. We've run into some issues on our end that we've since resolved. Please set SDC to US-1 (or US-2) and make sure that Show pre-release versions is not checked. You should be able to download DA and the Heightmaps as expected. I tried what you suggested and all is well now! Thanks for the help Yarlen! Thanks to Autistic Angel for the reply. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_
Hmm, only one of the three available updates was completed, the Dark Avatar (Expansion Pack) 1.60[b].001 and the Heightmaps 1.59[b].009 do not update, a Stardock error message box pops up and says "The beta of the application you are attempting to download is not available" I've tried the Refresh Application XML Data in the Stardock settings and still it won't work. I've also tried both of the available servers US-1 and US-2.
Cool....just updating it now....thanks for all the hard work!
This isn't probably a Mega Event......It would be cool if you could add a new type of Constructor to the game which I'm thinking could be a Shipyard Constructor. How handy would it be if you could send off an Shipyard Constructor to some far off spot on a map and set up a Shipyard to start churning out ships.
Nice photos.....look at all those Turtles!!!
I liked the old SSI AD&D Gold Box games, since they are Turn Based (as they should be). Ah yes, I've played all the way through from Pool of Radiance to Secrets of the Silver Blades several times on my Commodore 64. I never got into Pool of Darkness though, I didn't think it was all that good. I loved those games. When Curse of the Azure Bonds came out I was in a software store looking at the box co

Started out with the Intellivision when it first came out, also had ColecoVision, Sega Genesis, NES and Super NES. Never got into the Xbox or Playstation stuff. First computer was the C64 then moved on to Amiga 500, PC 386, PC 486, Pentium, P2, and now a P4. Don't play too many games these days, GC2 and NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 are about the only ones, probably average an
Here are the games that were so good that nothing else seemed important but playing them: GC 1 & 2 MOO 1 & 2 Speedball 2 Star Control 1 & 2 Star Fleet I: The War Begins Overlord Reach for the Stars (1983) NHL Eastside Hockey Manager (entire series) Powermonger Populous 1 & 2 Most disappointing: MOO3
Downloading 1.59.078 now........ ...... Done!
Sad to see Computer Games Magazine go down. Back in the mid/late 80's & early/mid 90's I used to get all my PC gaming news from Strategy Plus, CGW and PC Format.
Well, considering all the advertisements and the media on the sites clearly show a Dark Avatar box, I will complain, as my CD arrived a few days ago. I do feel misled by this. There was no info anywhere to state that we would only get a CD in a sleeve. Box image + CD = boxed CD. Thats basic human understanding. You clearly have a pack shot of a box. If I'd have known, I would have ordered the boxed version with GC 2.<br
I didn't have to change anything, I looked at the serial number in Stardock Central and it is the new one that was emailed to me today.
