Can you post your saved game? I'll take a look. Also was this on a NEW game since the latest one or were you continuing it from a previous?
Whenever I see a new version has been installed I start a new game so, yes, this was a new game started under 1.55.377081. With respect to providing a save file, this is not an issue that repeats itself from a save file. I have set the automatic save file opt

When you look at the popup that describes the Endless Emporium faction (first screen snapshot below), it says that you get: a discount at the Galactic Bazaar based on the member's intelligence, and an income bonus based on the member's diligence. It also shows that the impact of the current members of the faction are: +17.5% Bazaar Discount (this part is OK) +3.3 % Crime to all our worlds to all their worlds How did

There is still an issue displaying all of the components on a ship design in the Ship Designer screen, both when looking at existing ships and when modifying a ship design. The following link to a save should allow you to duplicate this issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6id8339ux89i1wc/Ship%20Designer%20Issue%20Under%201.55.377081.GC4Sav?dl=0 To see the issu

Another option for finding the version is to look at the Details tab of the Properties window for the GalCiv4.exe file. For example, I am now playing version 1.55.377081 according to the Epic Game Launcher (first screen snapshot below). In the Details tab (second screen snapshot below) the File version is 1.5.5.0 and the Product version as shown in the file properties is 37.70.8.1. If you put those together and remove most of the periods you get 1.55.377081. I don't

I colonized a Precursor world that came with a space elevator (first screen snapshot below). However, having a space elevator that is a Precursor Elevator comes with a penalty of a 50% reduction in growth rate (second screen snapshot below). Since I did not want to pay the growth rate penalty for the Precursor Elevator benefit, I destroyed the Precursor Elevator, but the growth rate penalty did not go away (third and fourth screen snapshots below). Shouldn't the growth rat
Where do you get the version number from? When I load the game it says 1.55 in the bottom left corner, but thats a lot shorter number than what you are using.
In the Epic Game Launcher, if you click on the elipses (...) to the right of the game, it will show you a number of things including the version number. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/6479257/ecd8b596-72c4-4cf5-965f-ec9ceccfc16

The first screen snapshot shows the item I am researching and how long it will take to complete. The second screen snapshot shows the results from surveying which grants some unknown amount of research. The third screen snapshot shows that I am still researching the same item, but it will now take 9 months. The time to complete the research did not really go up, but the display says it did. Seems like a bug. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/
Bradley has horrible traits for a starship captain [e digicons]XD[/e]
That's true, and I wonder why a "Famed Starship Captain" would be relegated to piloting a weak ship that is essentially a garbage scow vacuuming-up intergalactic refuse.

As shown in the first screen snapshot below I got a new citizen that is assigned to the "Colonist" role. In the second screen snapshot, I do not see any benefit from being a Colonist. The third screen snapshot shows the roles to which I can assign a citizen that is currently a Worker and I do not see one named "Colonist". Is the "Colonist" role just a placeholder indicating that the citizen has not been trained for a role yet? If not, what are the benefits of the "Colonist

I just used Culture points to gain the Independence trait within the Individualism ideology (shown in first screen snapshot below). The description of the trait says "Famed starship Captain Kar Zarkof joins you". I assumed that this meant that I would get a new leader named "Kar Zarkof" but, after I left the Ideology screen and went to the Leaders screen, he was nowhere to be found. However, when I left the Leaders screen, I saw near my home world a new ship named "The Prosp

I just posted my recommendation for a fix to this issue in a different thread. Essentially, it is that every civilization must have a Civilization Capital identified at the end of their turn or the game prompts them to select one. Every core world must have a capital and one of them must be identified as the Civilization Capital.

What I would recommend is that the game REQUIRE that you have identified one of your core worlds as the Civilization Capital for your civilization by the end of your turn or a message pops-up to remind you to select one of your core worlds as your Civilization Capital. That world's capital would be the Civilization Capital improvement and the capital for all other core worlds would be the Core World Capital improvement. This would allow players to move their Civilization Capital
Paul - Did you move your Civ Capital and accidently replace it with a Core Capital? That's what I did and it caused these same issues.
I did delete the starting capital for 2 reasons: It was in a bad position The version notes from Frogboy said that this was now possible When I put the capital in a new location, I chose the capital icon that I usually see for core worlds.&n

I am not sure which part of this is wrong, but something is not right. The first screen snapshot below shows 2 things: What training an Entrepreneur is supposed to get you Increased Income base on the citizen's Social Increased Manufacturing based on the citizen's Diligence (this is a part of the issue) I cannot train an Entrepreneur because I have not researched the Invisible Hand technology The second screen

How can my Control be -1? And how can my Control Per Month be 0? The changes that went into 1.55.376894.1 seem to have created more bugs than they fixed. I hope you are going to put out a new version that fixes these new bugs that you have just introduced because they make the game hard to play in order to test the good changes that were made. I was designing a new ship and encountered a couple of oddities in the available weapons list. The screen snapshot below shows that the Helios Rockets are a missile weapon, but they are listed under the Enhanced Kinetic Weapon heading. You will also find that the "Gauss Cannon" has the exact same capabilities as the "Cannon" as shown in the screen snapshot below. The only discernable difference is in the text area. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/647
