I am only on turn 5 as the Yor under 1.55.376713.1 and I just noticed that the Galactic Bazaar is open and available without appointing a Minister of Finance. Is this an intentional change or a bug? Personally, I have no problem with making it immediately available or leaving it the way it was. I am just posting this in case it is a bug.

I just started a new game as the Yor under 1.55.376713.1 and I noticed 2 Artifacts near my home world. However, if you look closely at the 2 Artifacts, the icons are slightly different (see the screen snapshot below). When you hover over them, they both show the same popup describing them as Artifacts. Are the different icons supposed to convey information about the types of artifacts that they are? If so, shouldn't the popups be different? If not, why the differ
Here are a couple more: The screen snapshot below shows the popup text for an Artifact. The text says "They are rare ...", but the screen snapshot shows 4 of them near each other. It appears that successfully attacking another ship no longer ends your ship's turn. If it still has moves left it can keep going. Is this an intentional change? If so, I like it! <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/6479257/f26a4a10-fbed-480
Here is another one: I am only on turn 15 and suddenly I can build a "Packet" ship that is a "Cruiser Hull" ship (see screen snapshot below). How did that happen? Here is a link to a save file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptrxhfc8lzgj5bg/Early%20Packet%20Ship%20Under%201.50.376650.1.GC4Sav?dl=0 <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/
I just started a new game under 1.51.376650.1 and have a couple of quick observations: It appears that the type of sun once again determines the resources found around it (Durantium around red stars, Promethium around purple stars, etc.). I think this is a good thing. I started with the ability to build Constructors. Is this true now for all civilizations or just the YOR?

What do you mean by fleet loses its mind
As I said, the fleet travels out over the black hole (which is supposed to be impossible), then it travels over inter-galaxy space away from the stream. While this bug is annoying, it is also very entertaining. It is hard to describe so I have included a link to a save file on DropBox and a set of instructions that you can use to recreate the issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ghjp0itmq14tsgn/Subspace%20Fun%20Under%201.51.375185.1.GC4Sav?dl=0 After loading the save file: Go to the area near Subspace Gat
How do new players figure-out what a military starbase does? I like the new windows that explain each of the many screens that new players will encounter (planet, shipyard, research, etc.) even though I think you need to add a tab to the Options screen to allow toggling these off and to allow players to see them again on demand. Perhaps you could add some similar windows that explain what each of the different types of starbases do. I have been playing for a long time an
My understanding of Military Starbases was that other civilizations would not be able to invade a planet within the starbase's area of effect. However, as the screen snapshot below shows, a Krynn ship is invading Kryseth Gamma even though I have a Military Starbase only 3 cells away, well within its area of effect. Here is a link to a save file that shows this: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ctzoaccego72ts/Military%20Starbase%20IssueUnder%201.51.375185.1.GC4Sav?dl=0
I just loaded my save file from yesterday to start playing again and I noticed something strange. The first screen snapshot below shows what a part of a galaxy looked like right after loading the game. The second screen snapshot shows what that part of the galaxy looks like after using my 2-ship fleet near Subspace Gate 2 to successfully attack a Krynn transport. Notice that multiple planets, shipyards, and starbases suddenly appeared. Why? Why were they hidden b
Thank you for your report! We are already investigating this issue, but to make sure it's all the same bug, could you please submit a save file?
Please reread my post. I included a link to a save file on DropBox.
It looks like there is an issue with the location of a Subspace Gate. The first screen snapshot shows that the Subspace Gate is located a couple of cells inside the galaxy boundary (which I have been advocating for!). The second screen snapshot shows that the movement bonus goes a few more cells deep into the galaxy. I would think that the Subspace Gate would need to be at the end of the movement bonus line. A link to a save file that should show this is located here:
A similar issue with a Survey Report. The screen snapshot below shows the following issues: No picture on the right-hand side. The tooltip for the first option says "+0 Research to all our worlds". Really? 0? There is no tooltip for the second option.
I reported this issue in previous versions, but I wanted to make sure you are aware that it still exists in 1.51.375185.1. When you try to modify a Dreadnaught (formerly Huge) ship design, the screen does not show all of the items that are in the current design. The Inventory panel on the right side shows that the ship is fully loaded, but the diagram in the middle just shows 1 component. Why don't the rest of the components appear? Here is a link to a save file if
The screen snapshot below shows that my planet can hold a maximum of 8 citizens and that I supposedly already have 7. However, I can only see 4 citizens (which I believe is correct). Is there some new mechanic I am unaware of or is this a bug? OK, while I was taking screen snapshots I figured-out what is going on. I left the planet view then re-entered t
Old-Spider, The following screen snapshot shows that you are correct. It shows a Subspace Gate proving that I have now researched Subspace Streaming, the border showing the limit of how far I can travel, and the description which now says "Distance Out of Range". I agree with your assertion that the message should ALWAYS say "Distance Out of Range".
I downloaded the new version (1.51.375185.1) and started a new game with a new Custom Civ. I noticed that when my cursor moved outside of the distance that I can travel, the message in the screen snapshot below pops up. I do not believe that the Subspace Streaming tech will increase my allowed travel range. Should the message instead say something like "Outside your travel range."? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/64/79/6479257/653b4aca-9b2f-4e7c-bd51-c8a0434
I thought you might be interested in a save that will let you see what the end game is like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m6y6pfdzsoz84x4/End%20Game%20Tedium%20Under%201.50.374227.1.GC4Sav?dl=0 Here are the issues I think you should look at: Why haven't I won yet? You should consider combining the results of all mission ships in one screen each
A new world record! A stack of 222 Drengin fighters, none of which have been combined into a fleet. I would also like to reinforce a post I saw a while ago from someone else (I do not remember who). The issue revolves around starting the invasion of a planet when the invasion is not going to be immediately successful. If you look at the screen snapshot below as an example, Ebla II has 2 fighters defending the planet and a stack of 222 fighters in the cell adjacent to Ebla
Remember the AIs can build these also and likely outbuild you.
The same can be said of ALL weapons. The issue in my mind is trying to determine as a player whether the Terror Star is worth building or not. As it currently exists, the Terror Star is an interesting, but useless, weapon.
One thing I see happening is more players disallowing trade.
I am one of the people that has disabled tech trading and doesn't do resource trading for a few reasons: A.I. civilizations propose ridiculous trades which are a waste of time. It is too cumbersome to find a civilization that has something you want and th
Another property of the Terror Star that I hadn't realized existed was that it can move 3 cells per turn. This means that it can be constructed in your own ZOC and then moved to the star that you want to destroy. Given that nothing else that a constructor can build can move, the fact that the Terror Star can move is not intuitive. Also, the fact that it can only move 3 cells per turn means that it is not going to be a very useful (even if interesting) weapon since it will take s
After I played the save file (above) for a couple more turns, the Battle Predictor went nuts again (see screen snapshot below). Hopefully, if you play the save file for a few turns, you will see the same thing which should make it easier to find the bug and fix it.
I am in the late stages of a game and I am experiencing a number of issues including hard crashes (I cannot make them happen on demand so I have not provided a save file for them) and this one: I think the battle predictor has lost its mind! The following screen snapshot shows that my 10 ships are predicted to experience a "Total Loss" against the Krynn Syndicate's one lone ship. It shows that my fleet of ships only has 6 Beam attack and 1 each of the 3 defense types. Howe
I think the A.I. has temporarily lost the right to use the word "Intelligence" in its name. I just came across a stack of 114 Drengin fighters; no fleets, just 144 fighters all stacked-up in the same cell. Whoever, controls the logic for determining what ships a civilization will build and what they will do with those ships needs to take a hard look at what they are doing.
