I'm sure you could recieve any random event in the game happen to you. In fact you might want to try picking 'luck +25%' to see if it helps increase your chance of random events happening to you. ;) ~SDC~

Here's my most recent crash in the game (Logged by SE). NOTE: ALL of my video drivers (video card, DX, etc...) are all updated. This crash happened during loading a saved game. I also have experienced a couple more crashes (they wern't logged by SE) that seem similar, but they happened during gameplay. It always seems to happen when there's too many 'sprites' or things going on in my game. My computer memory is fine. Here are the specs if ya need them: Pentium 4 2

I don't mean to bump this topic back up, but I felt it was necessary especially for ppl who were having lock-up/crashes ...or in my severe case, auto-comp-reset. I downloaded DirectX 9.0a (I had 9.0). And I went to the website that made my video card and updated those drivers as well. Then I went to the device manager, and updated my video card (display drivers). Apparently the problem has been rectified, and I haven't had a single problem with GalCiv since then. (Even after

Wow...that helps me too, cause I thought when something was 'nerfed' that it was taken out completely... While on the topic (sorts) what does imho, imo, however its spelled (i forget, too lazy to look it up either), what does that mean? ~SDC~

The difficulty was beginner, with all AI's (yes, I had all the AI's play) on sub-normal intelligence (and they were set to their default alignments). I played on a small galaxy with loose clusters. Currently I am playing again with the same settings...seems liek I'm not so lucky this time :p . ~SDC~

I just played a game that I won in less than 3 years (via cultural victory). I found it unusual for me to win so fast seeing how I only colonized a good part of the galaxy (small), and the only improvement built was just a soil enrichment on one planet (and my morality was evil). So I am just curious if anyone else experienced this, and I wanted to know how many ppl play games tha are relativley this short. (On another note, the unfortunate thing is that my score was 7 :sniff!:

Blah....thats what all of this stuff sounds liek. I just think the Chixie Dix...or whatever they are called, are hot, but I would never listen to their music. (I'd disembowl myself before I listened to country LOL ...but thats just my 2 cents). ~SDC~

Ugh, don't remind me of re-boots....im still afraid to play GalCiv because of that re-booting issue. Speaking of which, I just d/led DirectX 9.0a (I had 9.0)...this weekend I'll be doing some extensive testing, blah blah blah, etc... Thanks for the reminder CarilElf ;) (I'll post my results, etc... on the post I had made a while ago...sorry if I took this post a little OT from what it was). ~SDC~
