Might want to mention the potential for anomalous scores when your bank gets high. See a few posts above to read my store(Someone will have to walk the plank). If applicable, add that they should purchase a bunch of stuff for cash just before the last turn to drop down your bank. I've had mine as high as 40k. The more I try it the higher it gets. So I've adopted this remedy.
Nope, the strategy is here to stay. Though I'll post some news on it as it happens to me as well.
Re strategy: sensei - I have also won with a single planet/sector start; the point was it DOES affect your chances of researching final frontier. If you get too GOOD a start, you overwhelm the opponents too quickly before finishing off the research tree. The 'worse' your start, the more likely you are to get final frontier (but the longer the game takes, at least in 1.05). And I think arobertson is right re the alignment - I think you get a definite score bonus and I can't see how that wo

Heh, you're on Pontius Ricbayer:
On your "Summary page" you say, "Also take notice that I take evil alignment and if somehow a good civ had a good tech, I'll trade for it. Also, I never do tech for tech trades." I am a little confused. I think you are saying that if an evil player can trade regular or evil tech for good tech the evil player can't have, like "better way/trade centers", then you trade for it. Is that right? What do you mean you "never do

Ricbayer, PLEASE send me a e-mail on all of this (assuming you also had more to say). It is easier for me to get around to getting changes done as opposed to checking here back and forth. Thanks (If you need my e-mail address, it's on the site) [Message Edited]

Thanks Andreas! Cotal: If you play your cards right, the AI's won't have the money to build constructors to get the resources ;) . Once in a while the nab a few, but then I just pump out a few Excaliburs, late game, or AMM's, and demand them from the AI, along with planets.
a) you play evil. What settings moral settings are the AI at? This has a huge affect on score
They are all at their default settings.
b) I notice you don't comment on starbases. Do you go for resources at all or trade for them? c) What about trade? Does it play any role in your approach?
I stated there in the guide that I don't bother with any SB's or freighters...just a waste of time. If you're really cranking, then you
