I've trade with a transport, but nothing seems to happen. When do you get a combat transport?

Newbie Q: Invading planets in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Is there some late stage of development at which one has to be in order to invade planets? Even though I defeat the enemy ships around a planet (so that there's no shield left), I can't seem to invade it. How is invading done, exactly?

Well, luckily it worked after I re-DL'd it. Although it took about an hour, the game seems to be worth it. :D

What exactly does this mean? It seems that I am unable to build any ships due to this message (other than paying for them outright). How can I rectify this situation?

Although it now appears I have a corrupt installation file. So, my monologue continues. Do I have to DL the whole damn 400+ MB ZIP again now?

>:( Why isn't it working? I just purchased the game, and the number I was given won't even let me install the thing, let alone download any patches for it. Please tell me what might be the cause of this problem.
