Spell it: W-R-O-N-G!!! You dont play multiplayer with those people!! HOW HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND!? With turn based games you do multiplayer with your FRIENDS!!! Do you have friends? You get together at certain times, do turns until they dont want to play, save the game, and continue later, repeat. You people are the most ill informed people on the planet,

I also aways try to invade the world with a full fleet, although I don't think it makes much difference in the late game

I like to use a maxed out fleet full of 2000 troop transports to invade. With a massive enemy population I may send in a 500 or 1000 troop single transport using mass driver support to soften them up before my main invasion force. I may use mini-soldiers if I have a bunch of money and am unsure of my odds, like on the first assault on a new empire. If their morale sucks, I use info warfare to grab more troops. Often I don't use up a transport with info warfare. <

. reported a bug and contributed to a better world! Diamond Geezer, Yeah I like that warm and fuzzy glow of contributing too. I feel like a proud parent when I see one of my bugs or bitches included in a Frogboy change list for a beta. Stardock has been the only software company I have ever seen that has taken f

Actually, current way is very unrealistic and "gamey", a way to artificially spoil victory for someone (reducing joy element instead of increasing it), without some common sense. Why would your friend accept surrenter of your enemy if he knew it would lead to bad relations or even war? I like to think of it as a faction o

That occured in 1.12.009 where some games started under 1.11 and continued under 1.2.009 were flagged as cheating. This has been fixed in the new version of the Beta that should be released today according to Carielf from Stardock. Normally, If you save a game and then reload it, it is not officially flagged as cheating. But if you do it just to avoid or change a result you didn't like, most people would consider that cheeeeeeeeesy. You gotta live with yoursel

had the same sort of thing happen to be when I bought/traded for alien ships in a 1.11 game. I was gifted Totain and Korz medium cruisers. I then later upgraded those allen designs to an upgraded medium ship design of my own which had some SD jewelry. All of the alien ships converted to my new upgraded ship class , but all the jelewry was funky becasue they were trying to

Just ran into an really bad and annoying bug in 1.20.009 beta, smae problem as sam0t, take a look at this. This is how one of my ships appears in the SHIPYARD SCREEN, which is exactly what it's supposed to look like: HOWEVER, when i press the upgrade button and am taken to the UPGRADE screen, my ship then looks like this: ANY IDEAS? <

The .009 mode I think fixed a file "sphere.x "and reverted it back to old file. The changed file was supposed to be more effecient but it caused some compatability issues. Some early installers found it was doing a weird thing to the dimensions of stars with their display cards. They posted the bug, and had a temporary fix up within a couople hours. The Stardock guys stayed up late (early Saturday am) to fix it the Beta and Frogboy posted it up at 3:00 Central time

Waay back during interviews for GalCiv I, Frogboy mad a discussion about AI in gaming and in strategic games in general, It was something to the effect that in the real world, your allies don't defect on you when you are winning the war. That was meant to criticise the AI cheat where every civ would turn against you when you are winning, just to try to make the game harder to win. I understand that point of view and I like it. But I also like the new fear component in 1
