1) diplomacy- ability to trade/gift/steal/treaties etc. technology/money/research/land/planets/cities etc. the a.I. to act in a consistant manner i.e. one turn your allies the next turn they declare war then peace again , these should be built up to over a period of time not seemly a reaction to one thing you do or don't do 2)

i found in galciv1 that inflence seemed a tad extreme in that you would lose a planet(s) reasonably easily i would have preferred a system where your population would migrate over time and if left unchecked would get very low to a point where the planet would defect, a side affect would be pop happiness would naturaly increase as pop decreaed due to less overcrowding,thus giving you more time to remedy the problem, also the race exerting the superi
