idle, thanks I just read through it. Too bad it wasn't longer.

idleprocess, The link you posted is broken. :notsure:
*L* my bad I misread it as happening on monday ;p Could someone save a transcript for me then? Thank you.
Anyone have a transcript or a good summary of what was talked about in the live chat? Thanks.
I think that when I get alot of planets when I settle a war and my population shoots up that I get flagged as anomalous.
*L* I nearly mentioned that switching CDs nonsense in my post. Whoever programed that needed to be hit. The story ideas I had would always alow you to ignore them if you didn't care about the bonuses they'd provide. You'll notice in the examples I mentioned that none of them harm you if you just went your own way. Maybe an option to turn them off in the opening menu? Oh and truly ALIEN aliens. I was disappointed about how in the manual it mentions the fact that humanoid isn't the standa
Anyone else want more story driven elements in the sequel (hopefully there is one)? Like be the first to get to a certain sector and have some bizarre plot unfold that would give you a bonus. Or have the war party demand that you produce X amount of ships or the peace party ask that you enter into a disarmament treaty if you comply you get a generous 'campaign contribution'. I bring this up b/c I was thinking today about a game I used to play (briefly) called Imperium Galactica II which the best
Well I give up. Anytime I win early (around 6000 points) it'll let me have it. If I wait until I have around 10,000 it goes bad. I guess I'll just have to say bye to submitting them. I've taken out every mod except two changes I made to the tech tree allowing earlier acess to Battleships (I like to fight) and one that allows for faster colony transports (I hate waiting a million turns watching them creep around)the game isn't as fun without those changes so I might as well just enjoy my game and
Ray, Thanks for the fast response. Any particular reason to join the empires? I'm fairly indifferent to if I'm on a winning team or not so is it purely that or more of a community type deal? (sorry if I sound a little incoherant I'm running off about 5 hours of sleep this week)
Any way to get rid of a score after submitting? I ask b/c I have alot of Anomalous scores (Unfairly most of my 'mods' give the AI the same perks I do) and a few really low ones I'm embarassed by now. ps, the game really should tell you before you submit if it'll be considered Anomalous or not.
hmmmm so basically you want the game developed more as long as that doesn't involve units, AI, graphics, or races and offer no clue as to what you mean by developed more. Sounds like you want a full blown sequel instead of a free xpack. Good luck.
it's reg entry that controls long file names. It should be 1 by default. I have no idea what program changed it to 0. But its a moot point now I had to reinstall XP and the sound is screwed up again and the reg entry is what it should be *SIGH* [Message Edited]
SOUND ISSUES FIX? I've been getting terribly corrupted sound since well forever (I did everything suggested but nothing helped no weird codecs nothing overwriting). And I recently reinstalled galciv with the new patch. Suddendly it's all gone away. Now I don't see any mention of a sound fix in this patch release. HOWEVER I did have a problem with another program that needed me to change a registry setting. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem NtfsDisable8dot
