I have a few suggestions. First type the stack contents in every line of code as a comment. This helps immensely when troubleshooting random errors, and helps you from developing memory leaks. Second, don't calculate anything in the main program. Have all calculations done with functions. Also, make sure each function is short and don't calculate more than one thing in each. Splitting up the functions like this helps organi

If you are able to create other channelers by imbuing them with some of your essense, and they are able to gain essense by leveling up, wouldn't that just make the best strategy to give as many people essense as possible and heve them all grind levels so you have as much essense as possible? I think it would be better if they are unable to gain essense by leveling up, so that it really does matter when you give them your essense as opposed to using it to grow your empire, or keeping i
First, a little introduction to the situation... A while pack, I picked up Fallout 3 for my Xbox 360. This decision was based solely on the fact that my current rig wouldn't have been able to run it well, if at all. I've enjoyed the game thoroughly and, at the moment, I'm eyeing up the DLC packs so I can get back into it. However, recent events have opened up an alternative. With a new PC soon to be had, I've considered grabbing the
C&C has been dead for years, and frankly I've stopped caring about the crap they're churning out. The last good C&C game was Red Alert 2. Generals completely lost the spirit of C&C and was nothing more than a generic run-of-the-mill RTS, and they've been forgettable shadows of their predecessors ever since.
I have to disagree. I disliked Red Alert 2, as it was

The game is called Mechwarrior. It takes place before the Clan was discovered by the inner sphere. http://pc.ign.com/articles/100/1002275p1.html http://pc.ign.com/articles/100/1002164p1.html

I like camp 3 with the option to adjust it ala camp 1. That way you can move the swords/iron/whatever to a place before you build your barracks or whatever so you can have the materials on hand when you can produce the requisite unit. More of a strategic way of preparing for war that is only needed on occasion, but would be handy when you do want it.

OOOHHH Pretty! That is very impressive! I never expected something that was so well animated. You have outdone yourself, and you aren't even done with it yet. EDIT: Now that I have seen the video a couple dozen times (I was bored), I have to say that I was impressed because I didn't expect much. (none of the other games I have of yours has any character animation, so any animation was much better than expected for me.)&nbsp

Cool. Will a Dragon be able to attack more than just three untrained peasants in one turn? (I am asking because it says 3 moves) Would he be only able to use his 500 attack points against a single oponent in a large army? If so, that would make him rather useless against large armies, but still useful against enemy heros or special characters.

Even though I don't play the game yet (It looks like a huge time vacuum), I still read the EVE thread every day because it is just so interesting to me. Here is the thread I always check: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=80&threadid=2255450&enterthread=y The game looks and sounds bad-ass to me, but paying $15 a month for something is something I have a mental block on doing.
I'm with GW on this one.. I read the Elemental Inspirations pieces as being in a parallel universe sorta thing (like in those crazy episodes of star trek where all the characters were there but in totally different situations and with different personalities), and nothing in them explicitly contradicted that. I hope that remains a legitimate way of viewing it as I have issues with placing a fantasy world as a planet within a sci fi universe.

The Terrans seem like they are taking the strategy I usually use: Build up infrastructure early, so you have a huge manufacturing advantage. If you can research Democracy fast enough, you can usually keep in the black and by the time anyone attacks you, you can pump out ships faster than they can by an order of magnitude. The changes you made in the engines (making them bigger) just makes this tactic even better, because they can no longer Blitzkrieg you before you can build

Anything that can function on the bandwidth limitations of a USB connection isn't going to be a whole lot faster than what you already have. Plus it will need power, and be designed with ground loops in mind since you aren't likely to be able to draw enough power from any connector coming from the laptop. These things can be designed around, but neither is a trivial task with GPU's drawing so much power and unknown feedback circuitry from the laptop side (Yo

The ships had parts that had direct changes of final result. For example: you could put a laser cannon on the back and now the ship's fire/power was increased. You could place an armor plate on its wings and now it was able to stand more in combat. Are you saying that the buildings are g
