Thank you Scowler, you described it perfectly. I followed your instructions, and when I do the step #4 NOTHING happens! If I do it again, a messages says it is allready in the install que. Still nothing happens, and I see no que. (Note: GalCiv downloads does not show up under drengin.net like it does on the computer w/ internett con.) I will uninstall all and try again :notsure:
Yes, the problem is that Stardock do not recognize its own achived files in the Backup directory, the program put them there itselfe after completed download. When i then try and install through stardock, it downloads it again. I remedied this program by unzipping the files from the backupdirectory to the download tem directory, and this worked, stardock recognized the files and skipped download. I do not thin this is how it is supposed to work. I were promised a no lesser experience
Purchased the game, Download Only: I uninstalled to reinstall to hard drive with enough capasity for updates (Stardock Install settings were set to not ask where to install). The problem, Every time I try to Install the game, it starts downloading in AGAIN! Tried to restore, found my files, it now saz it is in the install que, Where is this que? Well, the que never finishes, and the only way I can work the install semes to be to download again (56k modef from Australia :( ).
Can someone that know this, write a walkthrough on exactly how I can backup my game to a CD from download only option. I did everyting, but when I do restore archive, and select the 85.99 Mb gamefile, all good, but nothing happens! Try again and it saz it is allredy qued for installation, but where is the que? Frogboy, it it possible to create a backup CD that lets you install the game on a computer without internet support. Like the CD you get retail???
OK... default settings were downlod and install only, no backup, and the settings also were NOT to ask before choosing an install directort. Probably not a good default setting ey? :notsure:
Purchased Download only and i cant change install dir for the game... I have partitioned my drives, my c: is for windows only and stardoc i installed on d: Why oh' why does stardoc install it to my c; drive. I dont have enough space for multimedia. Can I change the install directory? Where is my backupfiles of the installed items (the 85.99MB)? I want to make a backup and install somewhere else!
