The reason mac themes are more polished and overall better looking than most skins on windows is because most people who use macs dont know how to do these things so the real pros work at it. The same applies for windows too but since windows holds such a large market share there will always be more pros out there for windows than macs. Since there are a lot more people using windows there are a lot of resources for people who want to learn how to skin so we get more of maybe the not so polish

Well there is a pinkish color which is the transparent color for bitmaps in window blinds, its 255, 0, 255 RGB vaule. It's probably something to do with transparency and wb 3.5 compatibility, dunno though. Just a guess.

Well I havent done anything yet. But I can describe it. Pretty much my idea is to put a pill shape on my scroll bar like in pixos and i think one of mormegils skins. Every other idea ive tried looks horrible on the scroll bars. I like that idea and that's all I really want to do. The reast of my skin is sorta glass-ish or aqua-ish so i wanted to incorporate that into my scroll bars. Ok, so I'm making a windowblinds skin, but im wondering, is it alright to use someone elses graphics as kind of a guide for your own. This is my first real skin! So far I've been really original I think, but I'd like to borrow an idea from someone, not copy their images and claim their mine, dont get me wrong. Why don't you just get rid of some of the less popular or really old wallpapers to make room for the new ones? I expect thats one of the reasons there has to be moderation. I doubt many people would really mind if the some of the thousands of wallpapers on this website were removed, especially if they're some of the least downloaded and oldest. I don't really like how some things are moderated. It's really all a matter of taste. Personally I don't like half the wallpapers I see on this site, theyre all too dark and show the same type "giger" effect. Anyone can do that. How about some variety for different tastes?
