I've just submitted a game and it accepted it without a problem. I don't see though why it would be an unfair advantage, as the aliens get the tech too!
Yes, but the AI as a rule doesn't colonize those low quality planets. If you played the game the way it was designed, there would be no way to get a class 11 to a class 30! So the AI is probably never going to do it. This seems like an unfair advantage to me.

Yeah, the finally got the espionage working right in the latest version. I love it when I steal something really useful like Dreadnaught Tech.
In the long run, minors just don't work
I don't know about that. I was playing a game where the Carinoids got super powerful and started killing the Altarians. All I had to do was keep bribing them to stay at war with the Altarians, then move in with transports and take their empire that was now undefended because the Carinoids destroyed their military.
The Yor probably got that event where you get like 40 or 50 corvettes late in the game. Nothing like having dozens of useless ships to kill your economy.
Well, looks like anyone who signed up after the hack has got a citizen title.
I know, its ok. I thought you'd might like to know that my scores that are older than 6 months are showing up in the metaverse. I remember that was why you started the thread in the first place. You could only reconcile your score if you took scores that were older than 6 months and dropped them.
I know that Jaws, thanks for answering though. I was talking about Alex's spreadsheet, for some reason the scores I entered that were past 6 months were weighted as 0.
Well, my scores that are older than 6 months are definately showing up on the metaverse.
Question: After block 6, the scores are weighted at 0? They don't count?
Thanks Alex, I've got the updated version now.
1. Whats the best way to grab resources faster than the AI? I always find they beat me to them and I am forced to buy them from them for large large LAAARGE amounts of cash.
My favorite strategy is to build a few starbases on resouces near my homeworld and then wait it out. Eventually, the other races will go to war with each other. When that happens, they will destroy each other's starbases. Then you just swoop in with your constructors and grab the resources.
Thanks for the info. I'll be looking for it next friday.
Thanks, I'll do that.
Those are the Fundamentalists, and they're really really nasty if you're an evil player like myself. They strike only at evil players and can really cripple your empire if they show up.
Agreed. I hate those guys.
Hmm, never heard them called dilithium before. I agree that resources are key to the game. One of the little things I like too is the fact that if another race controls a lot of them the other powers will come to you saying, "X controls a majority of the galactic resources, we need to work together in secret to stop them."
Im on DSL ,I think i said it in my first post sir.
I'm sorry, my mistake, you did say that.
Hey Alex, I downloaded the spreadsheet, but the Meta Calculator only shows the first score I entered. All the others dont seem to be registering. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
Well, that might help them survive, but once they got going it would unbalance the game.
Also, this might be your problem. Are you on dial-up? If you are not connected to the internet when you win the game you do not get the option to submit the game. [Message Edited]
Exactly. If you take the one with penalties, it moves you in the direction of good. If you take the one with bonuses, it moves you in the direction of evil. I of course always choose evil. :d [Message Edited]
I think we were trying to let it die...
Good job! Yes, I've won games before without building a single military ship beyond a few combat transports to take newly spawned minors.
Ah, I see. That's quite interesting, I'm curious as to what you find out then.
Well, one of the best techs to give them in my opinion is Galactic Domination Philosophy. It does absolutely nothing, but its high up on the tech tree and hence considered valuable.
Hold on, scored older than six months are disappearing?!?!
