I've had Vista since day 1, and i've never had any problems with it. I'll be the first to admit driver support used to be shaky, and the was an initial performace drop on XP, but now, its stable, I have far less crashes than I did on XP, and the new memory learning features of Vista actually make programs load faster. I do believe you have to have a system for it. I run, AMD Phenom 9850, 8Gb Ram, GTX 260, so i get fantastic speed on everything. But as an OS I love Vista, and i

I work in a computer games shop in the UK, and over here we have very strict regulations on the sale of games. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) ratings are law, and any sales assistant caught selling an age rated games to someone under that age can face a £5000 fine, loss of employment or even prison time. I know that it may seem unconstitutional in the States, and dont get me wrong I think your constitution is a fantastic document, but im all for age restrictio

What I would most like to see in the game are borders that actually matter. The only argument I've seen against this is that "its space - its hard to enforce".
I strongly agree -- and if you need another argument as to the "realism" of the idea, ummmmmmmmmm....ever watch Star Trek?Besides it could probably be made OPTIONAL. I like options. Options are good!
I very much agree with this too. We could have something similar to Civ4 where you need open
Hi, I just bought the ultimate bundle this morning and installed the game and expansions, and im getting a crash after I see the intro movie to TotA. This is my debug.err; Debug Message: Version v1.96 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Tue Jun 24 17:37:47 2008 Debug Message: Could not query reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net value named Serial No Debug Message: Could not open reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Im getting a similar problem, though it just fails with a pop-up window saying view log. There is no log to view though. Im running kaspersky internet security, but ive enabled it to allow SDC full registry access. Edit: Ive tried running it with kaspersky disabled, with no luck. Im running vista, with SDC v2.52.515, windows firewall and defender are disabled, and I have full priviledges on my account.
Thank you! That worked perfectly. There was only the GC2 code on the manual.
I recently bought a copy of the limited edition Dread Lords (UK retail version) and ive installed it, but when I use Stardock Central to update it, it says the serial is invalid. Any help would be very appreciated
Besides, what women most talk about when there are no men present, is men. If you're smart, you'll shut up and merely lurk like the rest of us. Not me...
My Policy: Every gamer is a guy untill you get them into a voice chat program to prove they are female. That doesnt always work though. I know quite a few girls with quite deep guy-ish sounding voices. Looks
Come on now. What woman would want to waste her time conquering sprites and polygons on a little itsy bitsy computer screen. You ladies are all about utilizing your time for the most productive output achievable! LOL. Thats why my empires always run with clockwork efficiency, lol. I think it might just be that the female geek is an oh-so-rare spe
Yeah, what stab said. Come on, quit fooling us. You're not really female. I assure you, im quite female, lol. next of all they'll be wanting to vote and have the same high powered jobs as men </table
In this very male-orientated world of strategy gaming, I thought it would be nice for us women to have their own little space to discuss the game, away from the male bravado and show-boating. So talk here, I am very interested to see how many women play GalCiv II.
"It was Koeth (sp?) that published HoI in the UK I think, they delayed it by about 5 months If the first poster lives anywhere near the strat plus shop they could drive round and buy the US version from them" Where is their shop? if its near London i can go get it. Im really not able to buy from the net, or id have iot by now!
I understand that its the publisher's problem, and im hanging to get this game, but i havent got a credit card, and therefore cant order online. Also not many people in the UK know anything bout this game (i have a friend who works for Game, it used to be EB, and she had'nt heard a thing bout it, & she's a massive Space Empire game fan!)
I have no faith in this game anymore, due to the fact that stardock wont say when its released in the UK (if it is?) None of the shops round here have even heard of it. So please inform us when we can buy it in the shops in the UK. I cant and wont buy it from online, and if that is the only way to get it, i'll have to stick with MOO3, unfortunately. >:(
