Actually, you probably can still get a decent college education for 10k. Either a community college, or your state college (which generally has tuition rates MUCH lower for residents of the state). Obviously, though, this woman did not get a college education herself or she would have had some idea of just how stupid this agreement was for her.

Doesn't the plurality of the subject matter make it "My wife and I"? Ack! No! Pluralizing something can never change a "me" to an "I". How can a plural change a pronoun from the objective singular form to the nominative singular form? What it would do, would be to change the objective singular "me

It has pained my wife and I I'm sorry, but I just HAVE to say it: It's "My wife and ME ", dammit! Arrrrgh! Would you say "It has pained I"? No! adding "my wife" doesn't affect the "me-ness" of the statement. Ack. *pant* *pant* Okay, done ranting now.</f

Mick, the seatbelt laws do at least server a clear and obvious purpose (as stated, protecting lives and health). That's not an arbitrary law by any stretch. What's more, your failure to wear your seat belt can and does cost ME money, in the form of higher insurance premiums. If you fall off a mountain, then unless I have the extremely great misfortune of accidentally standing beneath you, your tumble affects me not at all. If you get in a car wrec

I want a party that doesn't worry about things before we have to. Republicans refuse to get hog-tied by theories such as global warming, ozone depletion, fished-out oceans and disappearing wetlands. The real problems -- if there are any -- aren't forecast to take hold for at least 50 years. So what do I care? I'll be dead. </

It wasn't the "Noooooooo!" itself so much that bothered me, but rather the Frankenstein Rip And Lurch move that Vader used to get off the table. Ripping his arms free of the wrist shackles and taking his first couple of lumbering, locked-knee steps was just so trite and obvious that it destroyed any emotional value that the scene could have had. And yeah, the scenes with him and Padme Amidala were all just mediocre at best. It wa

Yep. Why should I dictate to you how to raise your children? perhaps you want them to be exposed to that stuff at that age. That would not be my decision, but then if I objected to that, I would be imposing my beliefs on you. Are you saying I should impose them? Very well. Let's carry your argum

Floozy, you gals may figure it all out eventually, but guys don't want to go out with well-adjusted 60-year-old women. I think a large part of the issue is not just the psychology of self-esteem, but the general issue of male vs. female roles. Speaking in generalities only (to which there are of course bound to be exceptions), women like it when a guy is a take-charge kind of

I still intend to get it, although I suspect it has nothing to teach me... I've just been trying to work through my backlog of SF books first. (Which is going pretty well, I think I'm down to the single digits of books still to go.)

the Crusade in question, had in fact been over for the last 800 years or so. Clearly it's time for "Crusade: Reloaded"! There's gotta be a monarch or two somewhere in Europe willing to fund it, if only to divert attention from their own internal issues.

Dr Guy wrote: What is showgirls? And if you are asking me would I object to something being sold like a lollipop to children that I deemed inappropriate, again I say no. I would not let them have one (and indeed I have done that already with other issues), but I would not dictate to all parents how they raise their chilldre

While this film is the most violent of the 6, I dont see the cry of alarm here. If you dont want your children to see it, there is an easy out. It is called No. Dr. Guy, you missed the entire point of the article. This movie has been hyped to the gills, to adults and children alike. Children

Citahellion, and drinking water with other odd things in it is any better? Soda is acid water, alcohol is poison water, us people drink some very strange things. Soda might have a slightly lower pH than regular water, but it's really water with sugar, artificial flavoring, and carbon dioxide. Carbon d

Why will men spend fifty bucks on a book about ‘how to find the g-spot’ Whaaaat? No man I know would EVER do such a thing! They'd spend $50 on a book about "How to give the perfect blowjob" and give it to a woman as a gift.

I don't know where it originated, but around here, at least, there's a standard pick-up line that goes like this: "Nice boots... wanna f***?" Not to say that it actually works very well, but it's a standard, anyway.

If you look at the writing on the sign, it's clearly a computer-generated font. One that appears, at a casual glance, to be printed handwriting, but if you examine the 'h' characters, for example, they are all identical. Still, not a bad create-a-caption entry.
