Gold = old and busted GalCiv II: Latinum Edition This one definitely gets my vote! Who cares about gold anyway.

And just like with Master of Orion, there can be the option to disable it for any particular session, and let the AI determine the victory without rendering it. Not the same: The human usually performs better than the AI, so you'd feel pressed to carry it out yourself. Really, everything has been said already, just do a search.
FYI, Galactic Core works fine for me.
It's an age-old discussion really. Doing a search on the forums will bring up almost anything one could say to it.
There are girls who play this game? I know one girl that plays the game: CariElf, the lead developer.
why isn't there a single place with multiple strategies and evaluations of each? A good question, but the answer is simple: There is none because nobody did it (yet). There a lots of different strategies in GalCiv 2, more than in some other games. I guess that's why a "world formula" for GC2 hasn't been formulated yet. <TABLE cellpadding
One idea: Could there be random settings for some of the sliders, e.g. the level of aggression or the ethical alignments? *puppy-eyes*
Looking great! Can we make adaptions to the existing races, too? Like making the Drengins nice and gentle while setting the Terrans to what we really are...?
OR would they be okay with the expansion pack after Christmas as long as there was a beta program for those who pre-ordered it before Christmas? As long as the beta isn't "beta" too much, it sounds good to me.
Post your questions, describe your problems in-game and you will get an answer.
Den of Earth, this "card" is hilarious. *saved for later use*
Yes, a title that doesn't say much, in all caps and with exclamation marks - gotta love it.
You said to play with 9 opponents, it was my understanding that playing with more opponents does not raise the score. I think that's correct: More opponents don't necessarily increase your score.
I agree that the AI should cancel alliances given the right circumstances. That's what the player does as well.
Cardassian, you might want to delete the scores already submitted before posting the next game to the MV. These "cheated" games will only drag down your total score.
I bought GC2 when it came out, now I'm buying DA. Full price each. At the same time I get DA a new player can get both for less than I paid total - but then I have had GC2 for quite a long time now, I spent the money ages ago when I pre-ordered it. Buying DA isn't much of a shock to my wallet, if I was buying GC2 as well it would be a pretty big shock. I wouldn't do it, at
Waiting for our Metaverse Dominator to take back his rightful place at the top. Only real life will be able to interfere with that!
No tech trading can harm the AI as well, some of them don't research certain techs on their own (or only at a late point). The hardest setting regarding technology is the slowest research speed coupled with tech trading on - but without using it from your side.
It is apparent that Stardock hates them (for whatever reason) so we will never see them, short of a mod, if it is possible. They don't hate them. They simply judge that there are other things worth investing time more than carriers. I'm not against carriers, but the devs have made clear that they won't be added and this should be the final po
empath73, using swear words never makes a point stronger. Quite the contrary. And isn't that what we all want... to beat the Drengin into a bloody pulp? Not so fast! What about those that like to beat the pesky good civilizations into a bloody pulp as the Drengins. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a
One more thing: I keep reading about "tremendous success" and such, will there be rough sales estimates one day, or is it a business secret?
Signed. Just throw them all in one thread, lack of readability will do the rest. *muahahahaha*
What that means is this: We could potentially have a stand-alone retail game that is a quasi-sequel AND provide a digital (or at least direct boxed version) upgrade path in the form of the expansion pack to users. Sounds fair to me. Some people will probably complain about "having paid too much" (despite being able to play the game for half a year),
Updates of the game manual usually take a lot of work time and are rarely done for this reason.
In fact i'd say the AI cheat, there I said it. I reckon there is some kind of cheating built into the AI because even if you micro managed every single turn, there is no way a player can out-expand the AI... The AI doesn't cheat up to 'Tough', at 'Challenging' and above, the AI gets increasing bonuses.
