Good morning daEvilMoose!

Good ideas, Dano13 and Archonsod! Such events could really give a lot of spice to GalCiv. It should be possible to deactivate them and to say "at least one must happen".
I find the best way to get the AI to surrender to you is to completely destroy its naval power, and have lots of ships in his influence zone, but *not* invade any planets. Often enough you can even ask for all their planets as a "peace" treaty once all their ships are gone and you have some transports nearby. Saves you a lot of trouble - and a lot of
How about a super powerful invasion fleet of either good or evil beings. They have only a certain number of uber ships ... BUT ... the least powerful good or evil race ally with them, riding on their coat tails to achieve galactic power once again. Sounds great! I'm all for (optional) super-crazy events! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/s
please none that spawn huge amounts of miniature ships everywhere Argh! I might want to revoke my statement from above!
To answer the original poster: You can buy planets from other civs. It's just that they're very, very expensive.
I second the proposal of a "no surrender" option.
I do agree that the nerfing of the morale buildings is puzzling. Personally I didn't see the need to build them before and still don't see any need for them. Fully agreed. I built them on large planets with a planned population of 100b, but even that is no longer worth it.
D. Gold in october, stores early september(ish) I like this one. When did Stardock invent Time Travel? (oh, and was the research breakthrough presented by the good or the bad robot? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 AL
And they would be optional. Then a definite yes! # Ultimate Doom. A particular civilization is getting their abilities increase
Any chance you will update the GalCiv2 Wiki - Difficulty Levels for the new levels added in v1.3 and clarify the old ones? Eventually. Thanks, this would be very welcome. <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" borde
You go here .
I'm looking forward to a multiplayer expansion too and will buy it. I wonder how many people might be attracted by GalCiv that aren't now once it has multiplayer. I think it's not a negligible number - and having no account here, they didn't participate in the polls.
Research is fast enough as it is, I think. And there's no need to encourage players to wage wars either.
I'm curious about one thing: Do you have a favourite AI? Or one that you consider hardest to play against?
Glad u have fixed this. However in all my suicidal games, all opposing AI's were really at ultimate intelligence/unknown relations. Did not even know u could do this till now. Same for me. Oh, all those missed opportunities!
Thanks for all your work on the AI, it's very welcome!
The point is that it isn't realistic that you're not allowed to tell your labs and your factories to work at 100% of their possible output at the same time. Why should the labs have to limit themselves to 40% just because factories (military + social) are running at 60%? As long as you have the money, it should be possible to have up to 100% research and up to 100% production at the same time.
i keep deleting the ship designs in my "...My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships" folder but they keep resurfacing. There is "...My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\Metaverse\ships" as well.
You cannot, AFAIK. Paradox Interactive is the publisher for Europe and they have made the translation, I don't think the translated versions are available through Stardock.
However, planets remain limited to a range of around 4, even those with ships in orbit! This makes no sense! I agree. The "ability value" in sensors should be added to planet sight range, including any boosts occurring. And the AI seems to be ignoring the sensor techs indeed. I wonder if this is fully intentional.
Yes, the alliance system could need some changes. Right now it favours the player significantly, both with the AI not breaking alliances at all and the possibility to sneak in alliances with nothing but bribes.
Would it be possible to add a short way to buy social improvements directly from the colony list? Like a right-click on the project listed there?
Can the same programing that records metaverse scores be added to the game so we can have score-keeping on our PCs for ALL played games? I agree, that would be a very nice addition.
I bet that Brad never thought he'd come that far with the story that he'd have to explain it.
