Allow modded GC games to be submitted to metaverse for scoring. No, this would open a whole series of boxes of Pandora. Modded MV games were partly responsible for taking the fun out of the GC1 Metaverse.

None. Metaverse game = no mods.
and the Thallans, because I doubt anyone has played them (and I will now probably be proven wrong) Yes!
The comp gets influence bonuses at high level? I thought it was all economic bonuses. Economic on Painful and Crippling, bonuses all around the camp at Maso and above.
RaceConfig.xml and TechTree.xml will be your friends.
I started a thread suggesting that the difficulty levels should be made moddable: Link (for non-MV games of course) Feel free to show your support if you like the idea, they're talking a lot about modding support currently and I think it fits in the picture and shouldn't be that hard to do.
I'd like to make a suggestion: Please make the difficulty levels moddable, e.g. by exporting all difficulty modifiers to a text file. It's not about the AI intelligence settings in the first place (the number from 1-128), but about its bonuses: It would be nice to have a direct way to change the difficulty settings, like changing the economy bonus the AI gets on a certain level or giving the player a handicap. It would allow a lot of things like "Oh, I'd like to play somewh
"Friendly" isn't a guarantee, "close" is.
you people obviously dont do any researching on this matter. go and look at the top 10 players games. they all are real old games posted . ~23% of the games posted in the top 10 are from the last month (May 6 and later), I think that's fair enough given that the game is out for 3.5 months now (1 / 3.5 = ~29%). It's not "our" fault that Sta
I guarentee that almost everyone in the top 10 has not posted A new score in A month or so. Nonsense, just like ignuss said. By the way, conquest victories on the large map types usually take a lot longer than the other victory types or playing on sma
only ships built at that specific planet are given the bonus Sure, as with all planetary bonuses.
I'm all for recalculating the scores left out in the last run (1.1-Beta-1 and Beta-2), but resetting the whole Metaverse is nonsense in my opinion. Those who started later are at a disadvantage, yes, but I think that's fair game for starting later with submissions.
Starship quality bonus affects the attack rating only.
Could you please make it so that the initial choices on all the game setup screens are remembered! I agree, same issue with the victory options as their settings aren't remembered at the moment.
Gravity Accelerators and Hyperion Shipyard? All I can say is "Hell yes". Speed does matter when trying to defend an empire that spans a good percentage of a large or gigantic map. Speed matters a lot, yes. But +1 speed doesn't matter much when your ships have 10-20 speed anyway.
You would have to install stardock central on your pc at work. You would then have to install and archive the whole game. Then you'd burn a cd and using stardock central on your home pc you could install the archived copy. Stardock central actually would download and install the update. Hmm, I didn't know I had an echo?! <img src="http://images.stard
Bug: Building "Planetary Defense" (the one supposed to give +25%) doesn't seem to do anything. I just checked again with 1.2-Beta-2, the bonus isn't shown under "planet bonuses" on the planetary details screen, the numbers in combat don't change (barring the random roll) and it was no problem to invade a planet with eight such buildings (on equal tech level and soldiering value). In my opinion it should increase the local soldiering value by 25 per building when a planet wi
Vesa, your game resolution does not match your desktop resolution. Current Display Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (60Hz) Debug Message: Game Resolution: 1024 x 768 Debug Message: Running fullscreen. Running different screen resolutions on the desktop and for the game shouldn't be a problem, I'm doing that myself.
I agree with all your comments about the buildings you mentioned, and sometimes increasing your miniaturization value leads to strange results, yes. I'd like to add one to the list: I think the Planetary Defense building ("+25%") doesn't do a thing (I didn't check again for the 1.2-Betas, but I didn't find anything in the logs about it). My suggestions: Mind Control Center - just make it do what it says. All three alignment Temples - give them a greater (or more lasting
I agree to some extent. Miniaturization is working weird at times, maybe it should be cleaned up a bit.
Any game which used cheats was flagged as CHEATER in high scores. Same for GalCiv 2 and the Metaverse.
I cannot believe that so many people cared to post in this thread. The original posting is utterly ridiculous, stating that Stardock should remove all cheats and the whole cheat mode because it destroys the game. Just let it drop into oblivion...
By the way: "Tough" difficulty = AIs on "Intelligent" (on average).
I wonder if u will still be able to use the races that get kicked in custom games Yes.
As far as I know it is fixed now and will be gone in the next update.
