Stardock ForumsIm an utter n00b here, but I paid so here's my say. I like the Metaverse. If you want to use it as a pissing contest, that's your choice, but as a few bright folk have posted here, there are other reasons for having it. I like having the ability to look over my game history/record online. I think it's innovative and just plain cool. For those that DO care about the rankings (maybe I would if I were that good), I believe that the ranking reset would be nice. Nice *if* it doesn't lose all of

Once you lease them out to a rival civ, is there a way to turn off that lease? Or are you stuck with it until warring with the civ you gave it to?

Twirlip, thanks for the hints. I just played a medium map and ended up with the same results. Cultural conquest. Funny thing is I can never win that way in Civ3 ;) It's always a Diplomatic or Space Race victory. One thing I noticed is how the interface changes appearance depending on your morality- ala the cursor/hand in Black and White. Nice touch that. ;)

A political strategy game? Sweet! I used to play Campaign Manager on my Commodore 64, and while it was simple, it was still fun dominating the electoral college >:D Looking forward to that one, guys.

I beat it for the first time today :D. It was a culteral victory on a small, simple map. But, you know what they say.. small steps hehe. I really like the game alot, and thanks for your advice. See ya around !
