I got about a 48-hour turnaround when I mailed sales. But once I got my issue resolved I was set.

DA has never struck me as particularly faster or slower than DL. Only difference might be that the planet governors have been stripped down, which I never used in DL anyway.
1. You have a bug and support forum...I would hope it's monitored or used to get bugs to devs! Saying you're not aware of a bug that's been heavily discussed here is kinda wierd. You've got a point there....
I think there may be a very rare 2500bc anomaly in DA.
soil improvement, habitat improvement, terraforming. What's different about Neutral is that once you research them, you automatically get the tiles. You don't have to improve each and every one (or build the Orbital).
I'd like to have the ability within the game to launch false flag attacks in order to influence other races against other races, and my own race against ones I want to wage war against so as not to have political opposition and loss of influence You could nerf it by making false flag operations only allowable on September 11th of years ending in "1".
My gripe is only when you have someone post a about something (like this) and then, ... [snip] Hey wait a minute, you're a manager. Managers aren't allowed to have gripes.
You know, some planets (like Jupiter), the moon is more habitable than the planet is.
The Sims is gay.
I think it's a pretty standard problem for all games that it's next to impossible to get patches without native internet access. I bring up SDC and I have no problem getting updates. But I guess it makes sense that you might want to download a self-extracting file and burn that to CD for your offline machine.
Those crane tanks and happy meal boxes shooting missles look so stupid. LOL! Don't forget they also bobble up and down like Hamburglar after they win.
It wouldn't surprise me if the off-type defense problems existed ever since first customer ship; they just weren't detected because defenses were so expensive. Another issue is, the problem with defense is that it doesn't work as advertised. But--how is it advertised to work?? All we know is from a thread posted back in the beta. And that doesn't spell out clearly what happens if you have multiple weapon types & multiple defense types on each ship.
Then you should be building the new Food Distibution Centre now instead of that second farm. I think this worry about having too much farming is getting a little out of perspective. The idea behind having less farming is because you can use the tile to plop down a Stock Market instead. But if there's no difference in the # of tiles you use, what's the big deal? It's not going to make-or-break your elections. Build a Xeno Farm for 60bc and go 2 bil
The # of engines, life support, & sensors you need is very highly dependent on the galaxy settings. You can't generalize it.
Don't know, never paid attention to metaverse. Makes sense, though. I always rush-bought on credit at the tail end game just to hurry up and win it.
That's interesting with the 2-colony-modules idea. The reason I haven't done it is because colonizing the planet sucks up the ship, meaning you just paid for both modules and now they're gone. I'd rather save the multiple-module ships for ferry boats. But now that you mention it, that may deserve some revisiting....
Dang. I thought he was the Easter Bunny. That had explained where all my little chocolate easter eggs came from--it was his miniaturization bonus.
I'm looking forward to the day: "Your agents have stolen a new tech 'Beyond Mortality'. It will be available to you by next week."
What are you doing with the asteroid production? That is supposed to be free.
I get tech theft but it's infrequent. Definitely not enough to count on. But I use a strategy where I switch all my spies over to a different race once I reach Advanced. What I like best about Espionage: you get to see where all of his ships are going on autopilot! Sweet!
I have seen the same problem multiple times. In fact, I didn't even decommission--it was second in the production queue and I cancelled it. I could never build it again.
> 2. Heroes of Might and Magic 3, 4 was meh. 5 is a nice combo of good thigns from both with some new additions So is HOMM5 one of your best games, or is it just nice? I'm thinking of buying it. I felt the same way as you about HOMM3 and 4.
I'd like to see lots more asteroids on maps with sparse habitable planets. Those campaign maps were fun, when you got spam miners and make this big web.
The square root thing on the off-type defenses is strictly a hypothesis I thought up. Different test battles with fleets seem to fit the theory, but that's all it is right now--a theory. Anyway, I think Stardock had their priorities right with this patch. The FOW and crash issues were one notch higher-priority than the defense and tech trading. You can have fun on the higher difficulty, letting your foes dominate you tech-wise but you dominate them ship-wise. Steal their techs.
