I am still new myself but I recommend staying neutral or borderline before going evil. The bonus are tempting but it just ruins your reputation in galaxy. also try to get as many of the trade goods as you can and then hoard them. I've found that keeping them away from aliens is more beneficial then merely having them yourself
everytime I install the latest version of Galactic Civilations I lose sound fx and music gets messed too. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I am new player and I and can't seem to have the option to make treaties or alliances no matter how much diplomacy I research. Is there a minium level of friendship you have to ask for these treaties/alliances? anyone got info
