You are not going to believe this!!! I went to "edit account" and it's the same picture from weeks ago... so I clicked on it to see if I could see the date on the clock and when I clicked on it I saw the one I just uploaded. Then, when I closed the 'preview' window it reverted back to the one from weeks ago. Now when I click on my name here on the boards I'm seeing the one that had the SDC update problem.
OK, now I'm really confused... you are seeing the corect picture but I'm not. I just changed the picture again... it's the ocean with a small island and a WB called 'Nimbus'. I am not seeing that at all. I'm seeing a pic I uploaded a long time ago.
IOW. it's the right name but not the right picture. Unless we're seeing different pictures??? 'zzpurpdesktp' is a purple WB called "Wrath" and my wallpaper is a ship and that's not what I'm seeing when I click on my name!!
'zzpurpdesktp' is the name of the one I've been trying to upload right now. Remember that it will change the name but not the picture.
That's the one I've been trying to upload since you fixed the SDC update problem.... in other words after disableing the firewall, etc..
I just tried uploading the picture after haveing disabled the spyware stuff and the firewall and sitll nothing!!
Yes, it says "welcome Lady Aarielle" at the top right corner. I also, have tried this after totally disableing or shutting down the firewall.... none of that has helped.

No, won't do it with the new SDC either or IE. I have SpywareBlaster, and SpywareGuard but I haven't seen stardock.com or anything with a related name. On Sygate Firewall I have everything related to Stardock allowed.
Of course, haveing both things work would have been toooo easy So, the screeshot picture still will not update. I tried to do it from SDC and WC site as well but no luck on this problem.
Ok, This went very smoothly and turned out very well!! Everything has updated and SDC has the 1.32.275 version that it was always trying to update to. Thank you, very much!! Now lets go check out the pictu
Ha ha.... more like wishful thinking!! No, I just meant that when I downloaded SDC way back I just clicked and followed the instructions. I don't know how to do what you suggest.... about manually, etc..
Is that why I see two different pictures in 'edit account' and the message boards? Because, the only place I upload it is in 'edit account'... so you would think it would show up the same everywhere. It's not like I'm uploading in different places?
Yeah, it's a hell of a night alright. To tell you the truth I don't use SDC very often, except to update WB or IP once in a while.... I don't know why it won't update IP, since it updated WB just fine. In any case I don't know how to do what you suggest... when I got it I just followed the on screen instructions and voila!!
It only allowed me to change it once today as you can see if you've ckicked on my name.... but I tried changing it again and it won't do it. In "edit account" it shows a pic that is way older than today.
not when I try changing the picture... it just goes through the motions but the old desktop picture remains. The only thing it changes or updates is the "desktop title" I give it, but the pic remains the same.
It's 1.22.247 however, every time I open SDC it says it's updating to 1.32.275.... and it goes through the motions but it doesn't really update itself.
ok I changed the home page to WC, thanks. However, it still did not change the picture when I did it from there (SDC) either.
I was trying to update IP (click on my name) and I keep getting this error problem.... it also did it with other updates. However, it updated WB just fine. IP works fine.... I just can't update to the latest version.... every program works fine.... just SDC seems to be having problems with updating. Is there any way to update IP without using SDC?
When I click the Web Browser in SDC it just takes me to Stardock home page.
I've never used or seen where you can change the "account preferences" in SDC.... I usually do it from the 'WC' site. On top of that I'm having problems with SDC and that's why I was trying to upload my desktop picture.
When I go to "edit account" and then to "upload / edit your desktop image" it behaves as if it has uploaded the new picture, but does not change it. Also, it shows one picture ( a much older one) in "edit account and a different one when I click on my name in the message boards. Anyone have a clue what's going on?

This is a request... a really different Icon Package. I was wondering if anyone would like to create a "Texas" theme Icon Package to go with I.R. Brainiac's Texas WindowBlinds? I do use the icon he provided in the WB but I thought a Texas IP would be terrific! I thought perhaps they could include Texas state, Texas flag, stetson hat, cowboy boot, boot spur, oil well, longhorn steer, lariat, etc. or something around those lines. I'm not a skinner so I don't know how time c
