Brad says that ships in GC2 will be fully customizable, including your choice of weapons and defenses, with a rock/paper/scissors type of model using mass drivers/armor, lasers/shields, and missiles/point defense. you'll pick weapons and defenses in addition to chassis, engine, etc. We just have to wait and see how much of this actually makes it into the game, though :notsure:

Whew I got the empire score to refresh so we are indeed back in the lead now :) 3 - The Jedi Republic - 2512532 4 - European Alliance - 2497084 [Message Edited]
Hey nand where the hell have you been? Haven't seen you on IRC all week....
I just polished off a start I had a while back... since I haven't played in over a month it gave me and the empire a beefy 30k boost :) If I ever get around to finishing the rest of the games I have laying around, I might bother to update to 1.12 at some point LOL
Err this is an ancient thread. Notice the last post is from January. Anyhow the current problems with minors are from increases to their aggressiveness in the last patches, whereas before that they had been fine since the beta... Lots of people have complained about this so hopefully they'll get toned down a bit in the next patch.
They could also just sticky Alex's website thread :)

No, the taint of evil is just busy elsewhere... like on KOTOR, Red Alert 2, Diablo II, and those pesky term papers... :p
Apparently all 6000 bottles in the production run sold out. The flavour was described as "caramel, descending to lard".
That's out already? I was talking to one of my distributors at work just a week ago and he said it was still in market viability testing...
USA! USA! USA!
KotOR is a 3rd person RPG using the Star Wars d20 rules and based on a VERY HEAVILY modified version of the NWN Aurora Engine. And again I must say, this is how NWN should have been done--it has a lot of elements similar to BG2. If you haven't gotten it yet, it's out on PC now so you no longer have an excuse!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... tuuuuurrrrkeeeyy......
I LOVE HAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
Damn pig lovers. TURKEY AND STEAK ALL THE WAY!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Notice to all RPG players: GO GET KOTOR NOW! (Just finished it, and I have to say it is one of if not the single best Star Wars game ever made! Great story, great characters and useful force powers! :p) :D :D
Cypher- If you like RPGs, go get KotOR. I just finished it, and I have to say that it is the kind of game that NWN's single player should have been (if it was a Star Wars game LOL). It's got all the best parts of BG2 and NWN all rolled together with Star Wars goodness!
Just as long as I remember ;) Once we get things sorted out about any new ranking systems, remind me...

Well I've managed to find a way to at least free myself from redoing the images for rank changes. On the downside, I'll still have to change the HTML to update it, unless we can get idle to help ;) Note: DIVs/LAYERs/IFRAMEs aren't going to do what we need. In order to assemble the images on the fly we'd need to be able to position the elements "absolutely relative" to the base image. Unfortuantely there is no such setting (only relative, which puts it wherever it is in the code, absolu

GalCiv2 will encourage a mix of ships. Brad has said there wil be a rock/paper/scissors sort of system of weapons and defense (mass drivers/armor, lasers/shields, missiles/point defense). This will make it neccessary to field a variety of different ships if you hope to be effective against all threats.
We should be able to make that "data-driven" from a set of database tables - ISTR that you can now "layer" webpages with and i-frames - so if the various parts were stored seperately, they could be "hooked together" as needed - could include personalised blades/handles and images as well - this would also have the advantage that updating would merely need the new scores bringing in!
Couple of problems with that: 1) IE does not support PNG alpha blending, so fitti
This question belongs in the WC forums--this forum is specifically for GalCiv, so you won't find an answer here.
Brad has already said that this is a planned feature of GalCiv2, but it will most definately not bee seen in the present GalCiv.
Alright, got a preliminary pic for theoden, look and comment. http://jedi.galciv.org/e107/images/roster-theoden.jpg (And yes I know that's Narsil, but it's the only LOTR sword I could find and there's nobody else using it ;) )
Well you already know my opinion on a rank restructuring, since that would entail my having to redo all of the member bits and I's have to get idle to adjsut the bot page... :(
