1.05.71 (or such), go to diplomacy dialog, stats on a race and click the Total Routes button. Game crashes... bounces you out to Desktop. Does it every time on my system.

I'm with you... all anomolies are gone before they're available, and there are better ships to build. Would it make sense to have anomolies respawn at random intervals? Have less available at the beginning and have some show up once in a while?
I usually give conquered planets to a minor race (in exchange for tech if they have any). That way I don't have to manage them (and they don't screw up my carefully balanced economy). I've found this enables the minors to better kick the tails of the major races and keep them off of me. I have yet to see a minor land transports and take a planet (meaning they don't go expansionist on me requiring war with them), so I don't see a down side. Anyone else doing this?
I've not done any "scientific analysis," but I agree with you, it seems like they occur less often. I've added a bunch of custom ones off this forum, and I've had the same one show up 3 times in a row. Weird...
I've seen a Yes and a No answer to this question: "If I trade a trade good, do I then lose the benefit?" Or do I retain the benefit and just share it with others (so that we both have it)? Someone please set me straight.
Sector sweep makes the ship go round and round the edges of the sector, like a patrol (per a post somewhere else). It probably acts like a moving Sentry--keep going in circles until you detect someone, then stop and await orders. If you "spacebar" him (skip movement), I think he'll resume sweeping (I guess that based on other behavior--when my survey ship has auto-survey on, and all anomalies are gone, it will automatically go after any new ones that appear in sensor range).
Contact race XYZ, put Tech ABC on the table and hit the button that says "Make me an offer." Race XYZ replies with what they're willing to offer (if anything) to acquire Tech ABC. Gosh I'd love that! It's tiring guessing over and over how much they'll pay...
That was it... I was trying to "test fire" on a white dwarf. When I went after the Torians it worked like a charm. Thanks again for your help.
Well... problem is that right-clicking the star doesn't do anything. It ignores the command. (I'm running 1.03, haven't updated to 1.04 yet). Is there another tech dependency beyond the ability to build them? Bug? Save game glitch? (thanks for your responses, though!)
I built a starbase, then applied all the upgrades to make it into a terror star. But I can't find a way to use it (i.e., blow up a planet or star)! Am I missing a tech? Is there a secret button? How do you fire at a star?
A spreadsheet-type view of planets/production as an option instead of scrolling down the list on the right side of the screen.
