Which is what messy buu said and I totally agree.

Keila thats exactly why ratings should not influence a skins availability.People abuse and manipulate the system.I didnt mind so much the bad rating my WB got because the dl count told a different story.Until it got slammed to a 4 and now it dosnt show to the general public anymore. If the rating system stays in place it people shouldnt be able to rate anonymously.Make them put it in there comment.
I've noticed a change in moderation(sorta). Some real lulu's have been accepted so I was disappointed when some things that I thought were good were rejected. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to any of it.The guidelines dont seem to mean much.I would find it difficult to be a moderator and reject anyones work. But I dont want to see wincustomize go the route of other websites that allow ANYTHING.I say let the users judge and set a minimum number for logged on dl's for a submission to remain. The
Nope ...wont let me.I only see a ratings button when a skin is on the newest additions list or the updated list.Guess i'll email them and at least apologize.
WOM... you can rate a skin more than once?
Amen to the dropping ratings.I've stopped rating skins alltogether because of rating problems i'm experiencing. To the only person i ever gave a bad rate to I apologize,I wish i could take it back.(even tho it was a real stinkeroo )I no longer see myself fit to pass judgement,I see now the harm it can do.
I say stick around and see what happens.I racked up 15'000 dl's(1 1\2 months) on a skin that now has a 4 rating so someone is playing dirty. But I like it here and i'm going to keep skinning and submitting. This is my artistic home now and no one is going to run me off.I doubt seriously if the admins or moderators have anything to do with this but I bet some of your fellow skinners might have.Take it as a backhanded compliment that some felt threatened by your work and maybe things will get straig
Personally the rating is not that important. The DL count however IS.That's how I judge the success and acceptance of my work. The rating can directly influence whether or not people even see your work. Some of you are missing the point,we 're not talking about a dl count tapering off gradually,we talking about site politics killing a skin overnight.A few people are abusing the ratings system and making this wonderful site less wonderful.
Thats better pictoratus but still kinda small.
Maybe you should hang in there awhile longer.I'm having a similar problem with my fathom skin.Went from 300 a day to less than 20 overnight because of some really low ratings that dropped me from a 6 to a 4(after a complete redo of the skin no less )If your rating drops below 5 it no longer shows to the general public.(apparently the majority of your dl count)I have asked jafo to look into it for me so maybe things will change.Stick around awhile longer and see if they can help you.Maybe they sh
Bend over for them birthday spankins!
OK...phew! So far this seems to work perfect .Everything lines up and no distortions.70 user pane.30 more programs.40 logoff.with 380 and 190 for respective widths.(damn...over ten hours in a dang start menu)
While we are on the subject,What's the logoff height?I keep coming up with 41 pixels.Kinda odd number.I get 70 for the user pane.28 was distorted for some reason Hippy.Going to try 30 again.
Another problem is that sometimes magic pink dosnt stretch well. You can adjust for that with margins(so that the pink next to another color is not being stretched)
Thanks Hippy ,i was going bigger and bigger.Actually what was messed up turned out to be the bottom of the programs list I think.Going to go back to 28.What did you come up with Gabriel?Arracci,
Does anyone know what the exact height of the more programs graphic is?I've made it 26 ,28 ,and 30 pixels tall and they all still stretch just a little. Is it taller?
aaaaahh...the women are hot and the men are not, just the way it should be.Pictoratus you need to send a new picture,we cant see your face.(or was that just you being kind)
Doubt if it's anything to do with WB.My pc always jumps up in proc usage with visualizations so i never run them.I do know that XP has a bug in it in relation to explorer and avi files that causes huge processor runtime.Probably not your problem but watch for it.Sometimes just selecting an avi will cause it to do a continuous details lookup.
I see references to people forgetting or not bothering to skin tool windows.I just assumed WB skinned them automatically.I dont let WB skin photoshop and i dont have dreamweaver or wincust. browser.I do have a shareware version of iconpackager,i'll check and see if it's getting skinned.
Those fishy's would go great with my windowblind.I love china's idea for the jellyfish.(jellyfish was my first wallpaper.)I foresee an upgrade to Objectdesktop in my future.I was looking for a way to make animated desktops that looked good but didnt hog resources.Iwonder what the minimum requirements will be for smooth operation?(i'm on a 1 ghz proc)
I'm still confused as to what exactly is a tool window. Is it like the window that comes up when you adjust audio properties. What are some examples?

this one is not easy but its the best i have seen. http://photoshopgurus.info/intermediate/glass-buttons/real_glass_buttons3.shtml
So thats how they do that. That was simple but cool.
Dont be in a hurry to release a skin.Use it for awhile.I released my first skin thinking it was as complete as I could make it.Was I ever wrong!A major update followed and guess what?I still found stuff that either I missed or needed fixing.Minor update later and STILL found more! Now there are Nearly 15'000 people out there with an inferior version.Do your users a favor and make your skin as complete as possible before uploading.Major updates on down the road are cool but lots of little updates
